Zach at Woodhome insurance is fantastic- he made sure to take the time to explain each of my options to me to make sure I was getting the best price for the best coverage. I saved a lot of money on my home and auto policies, and I plan to switch some of my other policies to them as well. Definitely recommend!

The experience here seems to depend greatly on who you deal with — I see from other reviews that folks have had good experiences with some at Woodhome, but unfortunately that was not the case for us. Copying here the email I shared with Richard after MONTHS of back and forth culminating in me being incorrectly billed and sent to collections due to an error on their part (along with Hanover Insurance with whom they collaborated on my home insurance). Note that I received no reply to the below email, either — nor did I ever get an acknowledgement that they had caused this snafu, let alone an apology.

I want to express in the strongest possible terms my frustration and disappointment with my interactions with Woodhome over the last 5+ months. I spoke with Jake on numerous occasions (assuming there are notes on my file, you can see how many times); each time, he assured me that he'd contact Hanover immediately and would call me back, sometimes indicating that he'd call back within the hour. I also called other times and left messages when he was unavailable, asking for my call to be returned. I never once received a call back from him, or any indication that he had pursued the issue beyond the few minutes I spent on the phone with him. He never apologized for the very extended time it was taking to resolve the issue, nor did he give me confidence that it would be resolved (at least, I didn't believe him after the second or third phone exchange and resulting silence from his side).

The result of this very poor customer experience is that I have now been sent to a collections agency by Hanover -- and while I realize that this is in some ways a Hanover issue, they communicated to me all along that they couldn't do anything on my behalf, and that any action needed to be taken by Woodhome.

If there's any context you can add to this situation to help me understand why it happened, I'd be open to hearing it.
