I have loved Winco for years, but I love it even more after today. (11/12/24 noonish) my kiddo was struggling, I said no to getting a watermelon, and the employee working produce, gave her a banana and a high five. She was happy for the rest of our shopping trip. Then our cashier gave her a sticker. The trip was a surprising lift during a rough week.

I first came to a WinCo store was in Oregon during a road trip. I saw the brand name years ago and thought it was a Wine store. After the visit, I became a fan and found any opportunity to shop there when nearby. It’s a 24-hour huge grocery store( size of Costco).

WinCo has an unique market positioning as an employee-owned store in which all employees own some shares of the business. Not accept credit cards. Debit card or cash only to save the 3% transaction fees from the credit card companies which is a good way to bring down the cost of goods in a low margin business.

In a hyper competitive grocery chain business, WinCon has its differentiation with its low-cost, neat layout, comparably friendly staff. My favorite part is the ready-to-eat and grad-and-go areas for the wide variety of options made by WinCo. It’s also a superstore with all the household items you need. The size is like Costco and number of SKU is like Target.

The crowd never get too packed during many times of my visit even on the weekends. The aisles are very wide and the floors are clean. The overall shopping experience is improved due to the high standard store layout and cleanness.

Always a great place to get fantastic prices on groceries. Awesome deals on produce that are always fresh and good variety on dinner meats that are budget friendly. Staff that is friendly and a clean welcoming environment that makes you happy to return time after time.

Love that you DON'T make big changes. It's important to me to be able to find where things are. It's very time consuming when stores move the items. It works in reverse if I have to waste time looking for items. I've often left a store angry, not even purchasing what I went for in the first place. Thank you. Appreciate low prices, spend at least 30-40 a month less. Get more for my money

Love this store. I've been shopping here since they opened. Great prices and a large selection of products.
I have, however, had issues several times with 1/2 gallons of milk going bad long before the Expiration date. I just buy my milk somewhere else now.

Horrible customer service. I went in to buy groceries with my spouse, we wanted to buy some wine to go along with the pasta we were preparing to make this evening. I unfortunately left my ID at home, I am 31 years old. My husband took his ID out, the scanner stated because I touched the wine as I was helping load the items to pay they had the right to ask for my ID. So now my question was what if we had an 17 year old kid who did not have ID, but I did, would you be able to sell this alcohol to me? There answer was no. So I left the store, went to my car and had my husband attempt to pay for the alcohol, and they still would not let him pay for it. Poor customer service and because of this, you lost a customer for good.

Nicest grocery chain for the bargain conscious shopper. Diverse selection of bulk foods. Frozen items are phenomenally low priced. Produce is of good quality. Layout of store is plain and simple with nice wide aisles. Cash and debit are acceptable but no credit card transactions
