I was experiencing an on line transfer issue with my account. Thanks to Mr. Victor Leu the problem was resolved. He had an incredible amount of patience, and in addition to that, a marvelous sense of humor. That combination was needed when dealing with me.
His high level of intelligence, in addition to his other two personality traits, make him an outstanding employee!
Wheelhouse Credit Union is very fortunate to have such a fine employee!!!

I feel bad giving them 3 stars and I want to first say everyone is very polite and they try hard, it’s not their fault the business model is stuck in 1998. I would love to abandon BofA and do all of my banking through a CU but I’m spoiled by the tech advancements of the last decade and need them. So, if you like to go into your local branch and still use checks then you’ll love Wheelhouse

I have been with Wheelhouse Credit Union (formerly San Diego Metropolitan CU) for over 20 years and I have not had any of those issues of what those others have experienced. I have taken out 2 car loans in the past and they have been automatically deducted from my account, the fees for any special transactions have been mailed to my home and tellers have cleared informed me the fees before I did the special transaction. The staff have been friendly and respectful when I come into the branch. I do not see any reason to move my money from this institution. I am sorry to hear that others have had a bad experience, which I cannot help them since I do not work for the credit union. I hope this post helps those future customers.

After shopping with multiple banks and CUs, I got the best rates for my car from wheelhouse credit union. On top of that service from everyone who came in touch with was remarkable. My loan officer Lina Ricasata was very supportive and very prompt and easy to reach throughout the whole task. She got the whole process done in 48 hours. When I went to downtown to pick up a check form the bank, she even help me find a parking spot and she went an extra mile and came out of the bank to make sure I park at the correct spot which is meant for the bank, so I would not be charged for the parking when I am there. I would highly recommend Wheelhouse CU for loan rate and overall excellent service. Thanks Lina and Wheelhouse.

Don't do business with them. They keep taking money from my other bank account to pay a loan I no longer have. This is the second time they have done it. I will not be doing business with them again and will warn others to stay away.

Update reply to owner: you obviously can't find my info because the account was closed and you still withdrew from my other bank account on a closed account. Shame on your company. Times are difficult and I can't afford to have money taken for things I don't owe. The first time it took 5 days to transfer it back to my account. Yes, both times I got my money back but I should not have to stress about money being taken from my accounts.

I’m am so sick of my account being blocked for fraud when it is my typical purchases. This happens about once a week I get a call from them. And now I found out I have spending limits on my own money. Their customer service is trash. It’s nice that I can’t use my money on the weekends. I will transfer all of money out of this credit union.

New policies of the credit union have me in a Catch-22. Things seem to be changing and unfortunately, not for the better. I’ve been a member for decades and I’m not sure what has precipitated the changes.

If you like attitude from phone support then this is your bank. Everything is difficult with Wheelhouse Credit Union. They seem to go out of their way to make regular banking transactions difficult. Accurate information is difficult to find from their support people and online. I paid off my loan and will never work with them again. They have a convoluted method to payoff a loan that requires you to transfer money and then call them multiple times. I'm happy to be done with them.
