Here we go again. Another stupid and disappointing dealing with VANTAGE West. Thought I paid off my credit card at the branch in person, but I get a notice from loss mitigation that I owe an outstanding balance of 1.00. Tried to call the.customer service number and was asked numerous questions for identification purposes. The customer service dude was inept, despite telling him I just need to transfer 1 dollar. I also don't think I should have to drive to a branch to take care of this. I have 6 accounts with Vantage West, and your customer service sucks. It's just getting ridiculous trying to accomplish anything simple anymore. Also, I don't need some little.20 year old lecturing me on security as I retired from law enforcement. Not helpful.

Disappointed after an invalidating experience that leaves me afraid of sharing the details and having it be met with genuine empathy instead of retaliation or discrimination. I investigate people and severely injured individuals for a living, so I have to practice this often. I understand you hear about this stuff all the time and you may be tired of complaints, but for me it is my first interaction with you.

What is crazy is that every once in a while I get someone truly kind and helpful.

Hoping for more of those moments.

I have had two financial advisors from vantage west the first was great she left and was replaced by a fellow you don’t want near your money don’t let these people near your money I learned the hard way. Not only was the guy incompetent but he is an arrogant prima Dona.

Customer support and card services did not resolve my suspicious activity. Their aggressive attitude and juvenile behavior is on a level of unprofessionalism that you would expect from a 9 year old. My security was at risk as they had multiple people talking in the background and when I asked for her name she had difficulty spelling her name without a person helping her. I am a business owner and military veteran, not once has my service been recognized or resolution brought to inability to use my account after many attempts. I'll be closing all accounts with VWCU. Shameful and embarrassing financial institution.

I cannot begin to express how deeply I loathe this archaic, lazy institution. The overdraft privileges are worded differently in the app and an agent had to put in a request to update because it was so poorly worded, they’re systems are slow and lagged by weekends which is INSANE in this day and age, all of the tellers and phone clerks are rude, they never do follow up call backs when they say they will, they sent me a letter about a dispute saying it was going to be denied even they it was 30 days before I was ever supposed to send everything (even the teller was like yeah you shouldn’t have been sent this). If they don’t get with the times they will be left in the dust- they have never made me feel like a “member” and I am looking forward to being able to close my account with them

A terrible experience, stay far away from this credit union!

The staff is kind, but extremely uneducated. I was working with their auto loan department to finance a vehicle off Vroom - Online Dealership (2nd largest in the country), they approved me for $10,000, I had the dealership send me the paperwork to send to them. I subsequently opened an account with VW, had them pull my credit, and during the very final step of the process they informed me they actually do NOT work with Vroom... After I stated many many times that is where I am financing a vehicle from. So... I opened an account, had them hard inquire pull my credit, and have the dealership finalize paperwork only to be told "sorry we don't work with them"... So now I have to go into the branch and cancel my account (they won't do over the phone), and have multiple hard credit inquiries on my score... Plus, the dealership has to redraft all my paperwork causing 2-3 days delay from me getting into my vehicle...

An absolutely terrible experience. Save yourself the time and stress... Chose literally any other credit union to do business with. Don't trust your money with clowns who don't know their own loan policies.

All said and done, feels like I was lied to just so they could get me to open an account with them. Disgusting.

5 stars for Cara McCarthy. I've had another auto loan in the past and currently have a credit card with vantage west. When I first applied to refinance my current auto loan I spoke with someone by the name of Nathan who was not so great. I then requested another loan officer and dealt with Cara who has been awesome! Shes a great asset to your company. Will continue to give my business to you guys

Tried to get a fraudulent charge on my credit card disputed and all VW rep “Clarissa” and her Supervisor “Martin”’want is a $25 fee to do their job. Not one other Visa card I carry charges a fee for a disputed transaction! VW you will not be in business long if this is how you treat your customers!!!!
