There is always something to find here - sometimes its a tool you need for a project and other times its an instrument you've always wanted to learn to play. If you don't find what you're looking for up front, Troy will look around the back to make sure he doesn't have it. He's great to talk with too.

The location is pretty awesome. You can enjoy a great lunch or get a craft beer within a block or two. Highly recommend!

Nice place, with decent inventory.
However, prices are a little bit above average after a discount of 26%.
Advice: Keep your mouth shut. Don't talk to other customers.
Recommend the place for browsing, not for hunting treasures.

Very rude! Doesn’t know what he is talking about. And overpriced!!! Classic bad pawn shop.

He said a laptop was faulty because it is a gaming laptop. And because it prioritizes graphics fans and ram, the solid state memory is low. He kept interrupting me and mansplained my own laptop to me. He was rude to other customers as well. Refused to take things because he “didn’t want to test them.” Condescending to an older gentleman vs just saying no thanks.

“We are trained to give you a third to half of what is sells for on eBay” well they need to train you to use a calculator because your math is wrong. Not surprising, the working class in America is a no common sense bunch of robotic clowns. This “pawnshop” if you wanna call it that 😂 is nothing but a joke like the rest of the pop up shops that last a few years in Astoria. If you want customers you have to treat them right whether they are giving money or asking for it. I won’t be back and y’all shouldn’t waste your time either.

Come to this shop often. And I am treated with dignity and respect. Pawned many things here and got a fair asking price and was able to get them back without any issues. Always a friendly and pleasant atmosphere and has some great things for reasonable prices.

I am pregnant and was immediately greeted by the guy running the store smoking a cigarette at the door. After entering the store, my boyfriend and I were followed by this man. He swore at us and told us to leave the store. We calmly asked why. He would not give a valid reason and he refused to give us his name.

Dirty deals and dirty money. They knowingly sell defective product and will do so bold faced. Should be call the Con Shop.

Update I brought back the good looking but defective binoculars months later he sold to me and asked if I could pawn them. Not sure if he remembers them, but saw them and noticed the defect he sold them with. Still offed to buy for $5. This business is willing to buy back damaged goods if they look nice to mark them up for sale. I kept them and so they would not con another person. Kinda did this to be curious and check my observations.

Bad karma is woven into to this place. Go in and you should get the sleasy feel if you want to experience it.
