I’m almost 4 weeks into filing my claim and they haven’t even looked at my vehicle yet!!! My original adjuster didn’t respond to my emails or voicemails at all and I had to talk to someone else that got the ball rolling. It shouldn’t take this long just to access the damage! I’ve had experience with other insurance companies and The General is THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Either they’re incompetent or just don’t care about their customers?!?!

The general is a scam; they will make up things and have you thinking everything is going to work out, but then they deny your claim based on some false allegations. I paid for extra coverage only for them to do nothing. My car was taken without my consent, and because it was an unauthorized driver that was driving the vehicle, they denied my claim. I feel like that's not fair. Kevin Wilmer, Robert Laudenslager, Ethan Brownell, and Sylvia Rubio are the agents I had; they all gave false information and false hope. They did any and everything to not help me. Sylvia is the one that denied my claim, claiming she had a video. She made up evidence and made me notarize a paper, just so she could put the blame on me and avoid looking like the bad person. Kevin told me to take fault for the accident so he could just turn it over to Robert, the investigator, so they could try to accuse me of insurance fraud if they ended up covering it, but they did not because I was not going to take responsibility for something I didn't do. My accident happened on October 25th and they just denied my claim on November 15th. Please do not go through them because you will not be covered. You'll be paying for an insurance company that will not help you; you will end up being taken advantage of. If anything happens, listen to the reviews. They have a bad score for a reason. The General takes advantage of people.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. I've waited 2 months for a claim through their insured to process for damage that was done to my vehicle, only to FINALLY reach someone and be told that the claim is closed and they are not at fault. Their customer service team is incredibly rude and unhelpful. While trying to sort this out, their representative told me to be quiet and continued to make snarky remarks the entire conversation. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by anyone in customer service. Absolutely abysmal service. Avoid going through this company at all costs as you'll just end up having to pay for the damage yourself anyway.

Went with this company because it had the least expensive rate. Almost immediately regretted it. Staff was unorganized and rude everytime. Last time I called to ask a question about my charges I was so thrown off by the disrespect and how I was being talked to I cried. Never have experienced anything like that. Asked to talk to supervisor and she started off the conversation with "have you learned any from the 3 sepertate times you've called?" I couldn't believe it. Company is a joke. Pay the higher rate to work with a respectable company!

I had to give a star to leave a comment but this company don't even deserve that! They need to be buried underground and never heard from again! I should have read the reviews before choosing them!!! I would not choose this insurance company! I currently have the general and it’s horrible. My car was hit and whoever hit my car didn’t stick around. I was awoken by the sound of the crash and came out to my car damaged. I called the police and made the report. I was told by the police to move my car back in the parking spot that it was in. When I did I could tell something was wrong with under the hood as so did the police. I called the general to make a claim and sent in photos. 3 days later an appraiser came out to inspect my car. My adjuster Tora Williams was no help at all and even hung up the phone on me. I was told that the general would not be covering all the damages. I'm in a worse position than I was with this insurance company. My front bumper and engine is not being covered even though my car was in good condition before this accident. Tora and more of the representatives rather argue with you and tell you about your car and issues even though they've never seen met or know what's going on. The general has made my life worse and in already going through life threatening issues. I will be switching insurance companies and recommending nobody ABSOLUTELY nobody chooses this insurance company. I have a car that I cannot anything with now. I would have risked the chances of having no insurance and getting into it with the law than choosing them!! You will lose money and/or more choosing this insurance company.
