I had a great experience with this company until I did not. This year it was my first time using their tax preparation services and, initially, things were going well. My taxes were completed over a month ago and Troy and his team received payment upfront for their services.Unfortunately, however, Troy and his team failed to send my completed taxes to the IRS. They did not realize that they had failed to do so until I called after checking the IRS website and finding that the IRS had no taxes on file got me. Notably, this was one month after they were supposed to be sent and they would not have been sent if I had not called. Also of note, they were not transparent about my taxes not being sent. Instead of being honest after I called, they initially assured me that the taxes were sent. It was not until I asked for an email confirmation (which included the date that the taxes were actually sent) and then called a third time to inquire about the date that they told me what happened.

I spoke to a young lady (Troy has yet to call me to discuss the matter despite multiple requests) who cited multiple conflicting reasons that the taxes weren’t sent including a “computer glitch” and a breakdown in their system and processes that led to the ball being dropped. During the call, the woman reported that other people’s taxes were “missed” and that they were actively working to improve. I do not feel that the gravity of the mistake was acknowledged by this company (again, Troy has yet to contact me, I had to initiate contact to ask questions, they were not transparent , etc.). I owed money to the IRS and could’ve been penalized for not paying them in a timely manner due to a mistake that was out of my control.

I could not recommend their service to others at this time, but hope that their improvements prevent unfortunate situations like this in the future. I would not trust them with my taxes in the future and encourage you to be very diligent if you decide to use them (ask for email confirmations, check the IRS website, etc).

I would never use this place. Something feels very unprofessional about them. The people who answer the phones don’t seem well trained in communication and tactfulness in how to engage in with clients. They seem lost and not trustworthy as well as a guy today seemed irritable and spoke like a smart ass. Very pushy as well. I’m very happy I dodged what looks to be a bullet in relying on this company to do my taxes. I see the last review where they didn’t even file someone’s taxes. That’s about the care I feel I would have received. Look elsewhere!
