I was originally SO impressed. The gentlemen (owner) worked with us, dropped the price to help us out. There was an engine light on, he checked it, showed it to us, cleared and said it was more than likely due to the cold. (Yes, this is on us) He rushed us to come back before noon so he could close early, conveniently before it got dark, before I could test the headlights (which shine but don't beam in front of the car and could not be fixed). Could not tell until the evening, where it was not even safe to drive at night. I called and he said he changed the bulbs and that the headlights could be purchased at like a junkyard because he wasn't sure how to fix the issue i was having. We had to spend 600$ on new headlights and an entire headlight assembly. Not to mention the check engine light only came back and we had to fix ourselves *again on us*. One of the tires blew out, and come to find out ALL FOUR TIRES ARE THE WRONG SIZE FOR THE VEHICLE AND ARE UNSAFE TO DRIVE FOR IT. I am now spending 1000$ replacing every single one of these tires which are only at 4/32 tread because they cannot replace the blown tire with the identical size as the rest due to liability at the tire shop. How do you sell a vehicle and not ensure the tires are the appropriate size for the model? This vehicle was sold to me in a hazardous state. I am so bummed because I had planned on coming back, but after this experience, I am so disappointed and furious that I was allowed to take this vehicle off the lot in its condition. I could have been seriously injured. Be sure to thoroughly inspect the vehicles if you intend on buying here!!
This seriously is so frustrating because I had such a good experience in person. He was so nice and he seemed so genuine. All the reviews seemed so positive. I don't know if i just got a very unfortunate situation, but i am very frustrated right now in writing this as I find out more that was wrong when I first got this vehicle.
EDIT: Since I cannot respond and I expected such a response from the owner as I have seen some absolutely horrid responses buried to negative reviews, here I am.
The owner was COMPLETELY aware of the check engine light that we left with, we did call and let him know it came back on when I contacted him about the headlights that I could not actually drive with safely in. As to this being a manufacturer issue, I could see where your coming from, but you stated you changed the headlights and I made you aware that the things that held the headlights in place were broken. Meaning you sent me with those broken, and did not make me aware. Not a manufacturer issue, you placed those bulbs with the broken pieces in there. Next, i am completely aware I hit something and blew that tire. That was not my issue. I also understand other people change to after marker sizes that should be size appropriate to the weight of the vehicle. Some may not. But as a DEALER, you should make sure that the tires I leave the lot with should be rated and legal to bear the weight of the vehicle that they are on or make that customer aware that they are not the appropriate size and there will need to be a COMPLETE tire change. We would have chosen another vehicle or prepared or discussed these issues. Clarity as a dealer is essential to the trust and communication to a return client. I had ever intention of returning as a repeat customer. But knowing I left that lot with a car that vehicle that could have blown any of those tires at any time because they were not rated for that weight of the vehicle, should and might be illegal. My safety and life was put at risk without knowledge because I had trusted that a dealer had inspected the vehicle appropriately. This is my mistake and It will not happen again. Again, my experience up front was not bad, yes you helped us out on the front end, but by no means did the money you saved us then compensate for the amount of money I had to spend on the issues that should have been fixed prior to that vehicle leaving the lot.
