I used to have two credit unions. After Nuvision got rid of their tellers, I got rid of them. Spirit has plenty of tellers who are always polite and willing to help. Customer service is excellent. This is my credit union!

I just discovered they charge a fee for outbound external transfers. I've never heard of a transfer fee (except for a wire) and I think a credit union should be the last "bank" to charge people for moving money around. I did some research and these fees are unheard of, which matches my experience using other banks.

Well i tried to open a basic checking and savings account. Supposedly its a 15 minuet process. I spent 15 minuets on the phone with sharen being quite rude. This whole time just waiting for their computers to load? Then she hung up on me. Will not be banking with them. Also they should update their computers if its going to take 15 minuets just to load. I cant immagine being a member.
