We use this company to manage our condo association's properties in Sylvania, OH. They do an excellent job. Mike is very responsive and always advocates for us. Highly recommend!

While they could use some work on their communication, Seaway Asset Management seems to excel in taking properties with little in the way of assets and maximizing their effectiveness in repairing and maintaining what's there. I'm impressed with how much information they're able to handle, and how they are ensuring slow but steady progress at the condo property I live at.

If I could give these folks 0 stars I would. I don't enjoy trashing people, but this place deserves all the criticism from the comments I read.

I lived in a condo in Perrysburg Ohio for 14 years and in the last few years of me living there, someone on The Condo board got the "wonderful idea" to hire these folks to manage our condo association. What a mistake! It was a disaster from the word go.

Things never got fixed and they took f-o-r-e-v-e-r to address problems. I had a terrible roof leak after a raccoon dug a hole in my roof. 2 months went by until they decided to to fix it, by then I couldn't live in my condo and had to go stay with family for 6 weeks while my living room was being remediated for drywall falling down and the musty smell that came with it.

They were kind of rude to deal with. While I had been planning to move, this sealed my decision. The Condo board made a bad mistake hiring these slum lord court jesters.

Please, do not rent from or let these people take over your condo association. It won't end well.

The 2.7 review doesn't do them justice. I'd give them a negative review if I could. Worthless people and a worthless company. I feel I'm getting targeted already so I don't care right now. I'm 99% sure Dolores is skimming money through her family members she has contracted to do the work. The price of our condo fees keeps skyrocketing but the work is atrocious. She racially profiled my African American fiance when she went to use the pool in our condo association yet let other people do the same things wrong with no issues. If your planning on buying or renting any property managed by seaway I'd stay as far away as possible. The reviews on this page go back a fair amount of years and still they haven't changed.

We don’t trust them financially. Mike Eckel is more than rude. He is condescending especially to woman. You need to stay away from this company. There rating is a 2. Beware

I have no ideal how they stay in business! Mike Eckel is a complete joke, and that is an understatement. Stay away from this company if you can. They do nothing in a timely manner. No one responds. And everyone lacks any kind of urgency. We are almost 4 months into a major roof leak. We had to actually move out of the property due to the damage and at a stand still for repairs.
Mike Eckel sent a company out, Frog Town I believe. They suggested that the roof be replaced completely. We fully agreed. I contacted Mike and he said the quote was way to high and he was sending another company. Again, zero urgency! The next company came days later and stated he saw no issues. After a follow up call I learned this information and called that roofing company myself. That company came back out. After learning my husband once owned a roofing company he changed his toon and mentioned he saw some dips, and the flashing wasn’t right etc etc. He suggested at that point that there was 1-2 years left on the roof at max. His plan was to patch our double layered roof to stay within budget of what Mike would approve. Not sure how they would accomplish that with rotting wood needing replaced, but that was his suggestion. My husband and I were not on board with that at all. A patch quilt for a roof is not acceptable. After going back and forth with Mike for several more weeks, it was finally agreed that the roof needs fully replaced. Mike stopped by personally to say that they were going to fix it. That was nearly 5 weeks ago. Since that day he hasn’t responded to a single text or phone call and we have zero updates with the progress or what is happening. A roof leak to this extent is mind blowing how they can drag their feet for this long. The water is effecting our foundation, our porch, our sliding glass door and two of our windows. Not to mention lots of damaged dry wall and now mold is forming.
I learned today that Mike Eckles parents own the company which is clearly the only way he is keeping his job! SHAME ON THEM!!!!! Also after my own search on him I found countless liens and judgements and many people saying he is double dipping. I share that opinion 100%!! How does someone who can’t handle their own finances, get to control those of others? Every neighbor in my building would agree, but they are older and quit the fight and stop attending meetings because nothing gets fixed or dealt with. A younger generation is moving in, but we are dealing with people who should be retired/fired, so the condo seem to be going down hill quickly.

We have been using their service to support our HOA for years, Mike and Dave have been an asset to our overall operation. They support the board and owners in daily/monthly tasks. While the decisions, and power is held by the board, Seaway Asset Management is able to help in the overall execution to maintain the association. Examples, contacting vendors, making collections, contacting owners about past due fees, paying contractors, mailing notices/invoices.

If there was a way to give no stars at all, this would be the review that earns it. Seaway ASSet management are basically slum lords. They do very little to maintain the properties and treat tenants like dirt. We had the people above us flush a toilet that then ran into our apartment flooding our bathroom. When their "Maintenance Man" came I asked what he would do to fix all the water soaked walls and floors. He said, "It will dry by itself" I said, "The wood will rot and mold!" He said, "Yeah but it's just dry rot, it won't hurt anything." I pressed further and he said he would "come back and put a coat of paint on it once it dried" he never came back and this is what the ceiling in our bathroom looks like now...See attached. if you are associated with them at all, you are either another slum lord like Allen James Ltd. who owns our properties. These apartments should be investigated by the Health Department
