To all the people who’ve left 1-star reviews, you have no idea what you’re talking about, but it sounds like you’ve got the wrong bank, or just love to complain without taking to a customer service rep first. The guy who left a review saying “still on hold” is a special kind of personality, like writing a review while sitting on hold is gonna make a difference? SHEESH!!!

Anyhow, I’ve been an SDCCU member for over 10 years and have always received prompt and courteous service, ALWAYS. If I had a single complaint about this particular branch it’s that they train a lot of staff for other branches and getting stuck at a training teller window can kinda suck if you’re in a rush, but I just wait for a regular teller window to open up if I’m in a rush.

The door guard is always so nice, opening the door for every customer, the people at the welcome desk always say hello, and the tellers are always in a good mood. I’ve had cards replaced in like 10 minutes, no waiting for a new card in the mail. They help me split my deposits into separate accounts without having to fill out separate despoil slips for each transaction. They even shred my receipts and check stubs for me after each visit.

I had to apply for a car loan and without an appointment I walked out the door with a check in hand working 30-45 minutes.

SDCCU is GREAT! This branch is AWESOME!

Been running a business for years, came in here to cash the check I was paid and they refuse to do so without calling the member first to verify the check. Asinine, this is the only bank that does this, I can cash my checks from the originating bank at any other bank but SDCCU. I bank with chase, I’d never bank here. This is the 3rd check they have turned me away from simply because they can’t get ahold of the member to verify the check. Who has time for that? What member isn’t working during banking hours and can sit at the phone waiting for verification. Terrible bank with outdated policies.

Almost suffered a huge interest charge (35%+) because a teller attempted to charge a payment as cash advance on a DEBIT CARD instead of a normal transaction.

I was not informed of this until I get a notification that an unusual transaction was occurring.

Not like my experience matters, this Is a bank after all. Who cares about a little guy right?
