Avoid this contractor at all costs! They were referred to us by Liberty Mutual, but the experience has been a nightmare. We made our initial payment months ago, yet they never contacted us to schedule the repair. Every time we reached out, they promised to call us back—but they never did.

After five months of repeated attempts to get in touch, they still have not returned our payment. Their lack of communication and failure to deliver on their promises is completely unacceptable. Do not trust them with your money or your home repairs.

BEWARE!! Details below, believe me, you don’t want the headache of dealing with this place.

They were supposed to fix my 80 yr old mother’s home after storm damage to one room in the home. They totally took advantage of insurance payout by tearing out way more than they needed to - they moved the timeline on us from 6 weeks to 9 months. All the while my mom had to be uprooted from her environment (she has dementia, so it was really hard on her). It was one of the single worse experiences I’ve ever had. Then after months and months and they were almost done they claimed to have found mold - they stopped all work (again) and they just happened to have a guy who could test for mold - and I still have the text messages where they stated “…as we expected there was lots of mold”. So of course now they just happened to be experts at getting rid of mold. This is when we finally got wise and had it tested for mold by TWO other very reputable businesses- the result - NO MOLD! There was none and yet they were ready to do thousands of dollars worth of “mold treatment.” There is so much more that I just don’t want to relive here but, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

You definitely should know me Matt - I spoke with you many times from March 2023 thru August 2023. Not that it did me any good. I also talked to your project manager George - so many times!. In fact, I have a text thread from that time with him to prove what I’m saying is true! I have receipts. Below is a screenshot of George “breaking the bad news to me” about the mold. People can see the truth for themselves.

Matthew gave us really great advice and helped us with insurance and our home. His team did an excellent job with their abatement with asbestos and keeping our items free of debris. He listened to our concerns and addressed them as he could. I would highly recommend them for services.

Excellent service. Our basement flooded three days before we left for vacation. The flood occured on Sunday, I called three other service providers to have them start the restoration with one firm committing, but than they never showed.

A friend recommended Rumpke Restoration. I called them at 1pm, and they had their equipment setup that night and began drying my basement that night. They even billed my insurance.

They are an experienced professional group who got the work done in three days. Even my insurance company was impressed and pleased with the bill. They even managed the work while we were gone on a family vacation. Don’t waste time with other providers, just call Rumpke.

The other firm that did not show up as planned and encouraged me to publish my opinion of their service, in a different blog, called me one week later and asked if I still needed service. 🙁

We had a finished, carpeted basement flooded from a drain backup. I called at 7:30 am; they are an hour away but the cleanup crew was here within 2 hours and was here until 11:00 that night to complete that part of the job. Rumpke worked directly with the insurance company to make sure the claim was handled properly. The reconstruction crew did excellent work. We were very pleased with their service.

Our basement flooded due to a failed sump pump in November potentially ruining our brand new carpet. I called Rumpke Restoration as they were opening that morning and they had a crew onsite with equipment set up in less than three hours. The crew worked around the plumber installing our new sump pump to ensure that both needs were addressed without delay. They had the water mitigation completed in 24 hours and even saved our new carpet and memory foam padding due to their quick response time. In addition to the excellent service, our invoice was very competitively priced making our insurance claim process as simple as possible.

Unbelievable response time to our flooded basement. From the time our insurance company contacted Jeremy to the time the RR team was extracting water from my basement was ~4 hours. They worked late into the night to ensure we were on our way to drying out quickly. Their team was friendly and diligent in their work. I really appreciated working directly with Matt and Jeremy who are part of the ownership team. They were able to give us many recommendations and tips for making the best of the tough situation, which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend Matt, Jeremy, and the Rumpke Restoration team. (Update: 6/21/23 - Responding to 6/19 Rumpke Restoration's response to my review. The claim was on 3/19/2023. RR sent someone to our house. RR's office person called me that same day. You should have a record of this.) We had a washing machine water issue for which we filed an insurance claim. Rumpke came out, but then declined the job indicating it was a “conflict of interest” without more detail. The best we could tell is that they would not get paid because we started some remediation ourselves. I was told the owner, Matt, would call me. Six days later and no call from Matt. We are dealing with health issues in our famliy and wanted dehumidification equipment in place ASAP to prevent mold. Rumpke would not help by leaving any equipment. They just wiped their hands of helping in any way. I found this company to completely lack professionalism (and compassion). I would leave zero stars if it was an option.
