Natalie is a star, for sure. Always helpful, very friendly, very polite. Vicky, who answers the phone has always been rude, Natalie has acknowledged this with prior instances, but, today takes the cake and people in and around Toledo need to understand the "gatekeeper" needs to be frequently interacted with and these interactions should be considered prior to doing business with Natalie. Today, after calling yesterday to request a call back or email requesting documents that were asked for 2 months prior in writing (in preparation for 2023 tax year), before hanging up on me said "man he's nasty." Currently I am sick so my voice may seem a bit deeper than normal, and at best, it is more labored talking. All that taken into consideration, I was not rude, I was pointed, and simply wanted an update noting the timing (April 10th, extensions due April 15th) and lack of callback or email at that point. I called back immediately and said that what she said was not only heard but uncalled for, unprofessional, and just flat out rude. While I am assuming she was embarrassed only because she got caught, she did apologize, but there was no real substance behind it, as she continued to have an attitude (again, for me calling to request documents). I understand she may be family and that our business may not move the needle on Natalie's overall business, but, respectfully, maybe consider getting Vicky the proper training or make a personnel change so that, if, at any point in time, a client staying or going would impact the business, that would be a non-factor in a decision to stay or go.
