This is not the friendly local credit union that I hoped for. After being locked out of my online app, I was unable to have my account reset for four months! No representative could help and they never called back with a solution as promised. I decide to try again yesterday and thankfully my account was unlocked. Once I got in, I see that there’s a $35 fee associated with each of my transactions since September!!! Ms. Director decides to refund 8 of the 22 transactions and fees they assessed for each transaction for this year alone. Now they are offering a payment plan for these courtesy pay fees. A scam! Do not bank with thieves!

I will be closing my accout. Thus is the worst bank ever. They charged me 35 dollars non sufficient fund fee when my mortgage company tried to run a payment twice. I asked the mortgage company to cancel out my original payment and they never did. Neater the mortgage company nor the bank wants to refund my money for something that was clearly not my fault.
Good job patriot federal you lost a customer

Used this bank for an auto loan and was disappointed to see I could only pay through their app by writing out physical checks and uploading them, or call to pay via phone with a $10 convenience fee each month. Total inconvenience.

Then, I traded in my vehicle and got a loan through another servicer. The loan was paid off by the dealership, but somehow Patriot FCU still claimed I owed them $150. I paid the balance just to get the calls from stopping and figured I'd talk to the dealership and get it squared away instead of arguing with Patriot. It was only $150 and I do not want to hinder my credit score in anyway, so I usually just go the pay them route and figure it out later. Lo and behold, Patriot FCU reported a delinquent payment to the credit bureau. This is the same one I had made to them, ON TIME. This report dropped my credit score almost 100 points as I am actively trying to purchase a home. Great timing! Called Patriot to see what was going on. Person on the phone couldn't have been more confused. She advised I did not even owe this payment I had made of $150, and it was actively sitting in their savings as there was nothing to apply it to. She also advised nothing should have been reported as delinquent as no payments were due. So not only did I make a payment that wasn't due (again, on time)... but they reported said payment as unpaid thus impacting my credit score significantly. I asked how I could get this resolved and was advised to report it as a dispute.. doesn't seem like my responsibility to do this but here we are. Asked how I could get my $150 back and was told I'd need to come to a location to close the account and they could reimburse. An apology and mailed check would have been the correct response as this bank has been nothing but a total inconvenience to me.. but I guess I'll be driving 30 miles to their nearest location to get my money back.

Extremely frustrated and would advise to look elsewhere before using this bank!
