Patricia and her team are fantastic! American Family as a company is A++. This company, as well as, Patricia and her team reallylook out for their clients. They have been amazing during the current COVID-19 pandemic, and have always reached out when there are ways to save. I've been with Americam family for the past 5 years and have not had one complaint about the company or Patricia and her team. Their response time is fantastic and very easy to deal with. Completely unprofessional. Before conducting business, request an active and correct Producer’s number for the agent you are working with and review every bit of paperwork. I have attempted to jump through hoops to get this information (which is supposed to be legally available to anybody who requests it - in order to verify that the business is operating legally). Not only was I denied the information, but I was hung up on repeatedly. I have concerns about the legitimacy of this agency and concerned that I was shut down at every attempt to POLITELY request the information from them. Furthermore, the number that WAS eventually given to me was either incorrect, or entirely invalid. I would use a more reputable company. And I encourage consumers to try to get this information... it is always good to ensure that your agent is conducting business legally and professionally. This was not my experience, and I have concerns for everyone who hold active policies with this office, particularly Patricia Ruiz.

This agent and her assistant Irvin Ruiz do not practice good sound business. I have had a policy since 06/17 and up until recently I thought they understood our needs and had our back in protecting our investment, but it turns out they mislead us and lied about the coverage of the policy we actually purchased. When confronted about thier unethical, potentially fraudulent behavior they denied everything claiming to not be able to remeber. I filed a complaint with her supervisor and Mrs. Ruiz just sat there smugly as if she was untouchable. Consumer affairs attempted to sweep the corruption under the rug and dismiss my complaint as a misunderstanding. In their correspondence with me they cited the application as reasiong for their decision but upon further review of the application i found 12 examples of errors, falsified information, and areas where truth was omitted. Sections of the application left incomplete void of necessary information. Patricia Ruiz filled out the application at her desk while asking us the questions saying that's how she generated the policy. If you need to protect your assets and investments do not conduct business with this person and her assistant your commission is there only goal and then months down the road when you need their services they will deny helping you and have no remorse about your loss. They refuse to provider her national insurance producer number and have attempted to obstruct every attempt to file a grievance. My next step is to get a regulatory agency involved and file a complaint with the Arizona attorney General of consumer complaints department as I now have enough evidence to prove that Patricia Ruiz and Irvin Ruiz are unethical agents that have committed fraudulent business practices. I was with American family for 25 +years and I was never late on a payment and I was dropped for a couple of claims in 25+ years. The people in the office are really great at taking your money but American family as a hole really suck. I was never late on a payment & was even paying ahead of time.
