Beware! I moved to Sacramento area, changed brokers, and transferred all of my assets from a strong performing mutual fund into another one BC recommended more than 20 years ago. In 2015, BC highly recommended and encouraged me to invest in several individual stocks. This guy is highly educated, licensed and experienced in finances, so I had no reason to not trust his judgement! Stayed with this guy over 20 years even when the market tanked in 2008 'great recession' and again in 2018. Worst mistake in my life! Two of the three stocks (hotel and REIT) went belly up during covid and the third was an illiquid fund that lost more than 95% of my investment! Over 20 years with BC and my portfolio value was worse than what I started with when I transferred all of my assets to PFS. Basically, even with all of his credentials and experience, BC advise is hogwash. Fortunately, I am no longer a client of BC/PFS and am now happily working with a capable and trustworthy licensed broker. After 8 months, my portfolio value has grown 8% and still climbing. Let me repeat: BEWARE! May the force be with you!
