Don't use this company. Very unfriendly. They take advantage of the students renting then blame everything on the "landlord". I was yelled at by a staff member when I inquired about paying a bill for a time period before we even moved in. Very sad.
Update, after I got yelled at, they called my child who is renting the location, and complained about me to them. WOW

This is the second time we have rented from Oxford Real Estate. We always have the best experiences with them. The ladies in the office are the nicest people! The maintenance guys are so quick and fix things right away and are respectful of your home. We are so thankful to have such a great company to rent from!

I rented from OXRE for two years and never had a single issue with any of them. They were always quick to respond to emails/calls, sent maintenance quickly, and were invested in making our renting experience as pleasant as possible. Everyone treated us with respect and as adults (which is rare for Oxford rental companies). If I ever live in Oxford again, I will definitely rent from OXRE.

I was renting an apartment from Oxford Real Estate this school year and was planning on living there for another 2 years but found out they have rented my apartment to someone else. They said it was my responsibility to notify them that I wanted to renew. That was never communicated by their office..If they valued my business they would send me an email asking if I would like to renew. Very bad customer service. So if you choose to rent from them know you have to be the one to contact them or they will rent your apartment out from under you.

I’ve been trying to contact them for a few days now and have gotten only one response asking for more details (which I had already provided in my initial email). I just want to find a place to live and I’m hoping they follow their online reviews closer than their email. I’d be happy to give a high rating once I actually interact with them. I hope this catches their attention so I can find a new home. They are very difficult to get ahold of.

Update: My plan worked. They did reach out to me by responding to this negative review. They apologized for the delays and assured me they’d reach out soon. But they never did. It’s been weeks now and the only contact I’ve had with them was this review and a vague email saying there were no properties available for me yet. I spent that time speaking to nearly a dozen property owners, two or three real estate agents, and countless apartment managers and I can assure you there are plenty of properties available. Too many. It’s almost as if I need help from someone to sort through all the available properties and help me find one that fit my needs. Too bad there is no such place in Oxford. Luckily I eventually did find the perfect property for me, with absolutely no help or regard from OxRe. I now believe all the negative things people say about this company. I’m positive they have no work ethic or sense of civic responsibility. If you’re in search of a new home or apartment don’t bother with OxRe. It will be a frustrating waste of time and energy. Do the work on your own. It will be worth it.

The most rude and unprofessional customer service experience I've ever had in my life. If I could call every one of their clients, I would and tell them not to use Oxford real estate. Do yourself a favor and find someone else to do business with. Lucky for them, and unfortunate for their customers you are held hostage by the Oxford Ohio real estate market because anywhere else except for a college campus would anyone begin to do business with a company like Oxford Real estate. Run away fast before they take your money and treat you rudely while doing it.

My entire experience with OXRE has been fantastic. This is the second company I've rented from over the course of my time living in Oxford and I had a pretty decent experience with the other company, but OXRE has exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend!

Not a good experience. After I signed the contract getting someone from the office to call me back about my questions was a nightmare. They also do not tell you everything up front. I was looking to rent and live by myself for the first time and I wanted to adopt a dog and when I walked through the rental unit they told me that was fine. When I actually went to adopt a dog they told me the property owner didn't allow more than one pet in a home- and they new at the time that I already had a cat and that a dog would be a second animal. Not pleased about the whole process and I won't be using them as a property management company that I rent from in the future.
