Well, it's been about a month since we started moving in (3/1) and about a week since actually started sleeping in the house we rented from NorCal Property Management, but so far David has been nothing but responsive, helpful, and fast... The house we're renting has a few issues that need to be addressed since the previous tenets did not have them repaired before they left, but it's getting done. Once I let David know what needed to be repaired he was on it fast. He made a few calls and that same day maintenance people were notified and appointments were made.
David has been great considering he is doing everything he can, up and to the limit of what the owners allow him to do or agree to do. I understand his limitations and he can only do so much without getting the owners involved, so I see how he's trapped between a rock and a hard place sometimes. From what I can see, I feel David is a tenant advocate and he's trying to do his best. As a tenant, you also have to exercise a little patience considering I'm not the only tenant David has and the availability of his maintenance staff.
Yes, it is true that David's father runs the maintenance service that David uses, but I don't see that as a problem. In fact, it may even be a strength that allows David to push the limits of his owner granted authority for tenants. So far my most critical repair was completed within 12 hrs. of me notifying David. To me, that's nothing short of a stellar performance by David and his staff. I have also received follow on text messages to address a few other issues and I'm looking forward to getting those things addressed as well.
As I said, I'm updating my review of David and NorCal Property Management as we go along, but so far Five Stars for David and his team!!!
