I am truly very disappointed in Nationwide Insurance, for many years I have been a customer and my vehicles have always had good insurance coverage and for that reason I decided to put the 2 houses that I own also with Nationwide. But unfortunately they only speak nicely to sell the policies but when we need their help as insurance, they do not provide it.
This year one of my properties was affected by several problems, 2 of them more serious, such as the flooding of the basement and the damage to the roof caused in a certain part by climatic situations... electrical storms, endless rains, made several trees around my house they shut down, one of them knocked down the electricity cables and I was left without electricity, this caused the pumps that take the dirty water out to turn off and all that water went into the basement, damaging a good Percentage the entire structure in the basement and many personal items were lost such as beds, clothes, TV, the doors, everything was damaged... another tree that was damaged when a branch fell on the roof... and what is my surprise?
I call my Nationwide to report those damages as claims to be covered by the policy I purchased with them; and they tell me we are going to send someone in charge, they send someone to ask questions and take photos... and after a few days waiting for a positive response... they call me and say that the policy does not cover the damage caused to my house and They close the claim as if nothing has happened...
Now I have to repair the roof on my own because I have to do it, since inside one of the rooms is getting damaged when it rains.
It is very unpleasant to realize that one trusts the insurance companies so that these types of situations are solved in the best way and to be able to live in peace.... now it turns out that I have paid for my insurance policies for nothing since I don't They respond when their help is needed.
I do not intend to continue with Nationwide, I will withdraw my 2 properties and my vehicles because they no longer generate confidence in me.
You who own your home and know how hard it has been to obtain it, be careful when buying insurance, I personally DO NOT RECOMMEND NATIONWIDE for that.
Very very disappointed, annoyed and concerned because the company that came to make an estimate to repair the damaged roof area gave me a price of almost $6,000.00 and that would have to be paid by me because the insurance company that I trust DOES NOT IT'S RESPONSIBLE....
