They used to be better when PLFCU. They charged inactivity fees until they drained my account and closed it. No letter. No notification. Just took it and didn't tell me. Probably buried in their terms and conditions but pretty awful. It wasn't that much money but this will cost them a customer forever. Just pulled two other accounts from them. I'm far from poor, I just forgot about this account. MyPoint Credit Union = Not your money. Stay away!

After you write a bad review, they will hide from the fact that they DID NOT notify me and make up stories about the law. The response, blaming the customer, should tell you everything about them. They will steal if they can hide behind policies and lies. Great organization.

I experienced fraud on my checking account. I went to the branch to get everything straightened out, and Claudia was super helpful! Very professional, and genuinely seemed concerned. I got a new card immediately. Great service, and very helpful staff.

Have the best experience with this bank. If there is a problem, they handle it super quick and if there’s fraudulent activity and you don’t realize it they catch you before you do super important.

Having just received a check to pay off my car loan at a much lower interest rate from Penfed, I went to this shared branch to do just that. The teller was unsure of how to proceed so I suggested he check with the manager. The manager was on a call, and gruffly told his co-worker to wait and for me to wait outside his office. I went to sit down in the lobby. After a long wait, he finally came out and garbled a few words about not being able to accept the check and unceremoneously ushered me quickly out of the branch. I had no idea of what he had just said so I drove to a different branch where I had experienced much better service, a bit farther from my home, located at 3777 Sportsarena Blvd. There I saw a staff member at her desk, inundated with paper work. After my last experience with Jeff Ginsberg, I was hesitant to approach but she waved me forward and graciously asked me to sit down. I explained my visit and she clearly and thoroughly gave me the answer to my query. Her name is Mimi and she is an asset to My Point Credit Union. I would strongly recommend a bit of customer service re-training to Jeff Ginsberg, however.

Very disappointed with this bank. I got a car loan from them in 2011, and I almost paid it off. I have been making double payments every month just to pay off the loan quicker and earn a good relationship with this bank. But when recently I came to them for personal loan, they just turned me away and ignored the fact that I have been loyal customer and never missed a payment even by a day. I did not expect this kind treatment. In couple of months I paying off the loan and never coming back to this bank. So if you are thinking that once you start relationship with this bank and maintain it, they will count it and help you out in the future then go somewhere else.

I've been with them over 35 years. Service is 2nd to none. Never have they made a mistake. They greet me like I'm a friend. They carry all of my loans. Car. Home. Never would I bank anywhere else. Thanks so much PLCU. I'm a life time customer. So is my son. Our membership is generational.

Great credit union. Can't say enough good things about them. When I had brain surgery they sent me a get well card. When I referred a friend I got a sizable gift card to Phil's barbecue. They helped me get my credit back on track. Very friendly, helpful and professional.

While I have always been treated well as a customer in the branches there is no way to contact any of the branches via telephone. The 'phone system is designed in such a way that a person can never get through to speak to any representative. Keep this in mind if you contemplate using Point Loma Credit Union...
