Mesa Branch is awesome. Avoid this branch as I've been here an hour while two bankers, one teller and Manager Riley told me I needed an appointment as I sit and watch a banker and Riley conduct a 30 minute meeting. If I knew I needed an appointment I would have made one. Mesa, you just walk in, wait your turn and get handled.

One star review by default. This place is terrible, please check the bbb website with 42 complaint of which most are fraud complaints. They cater to lower income people by offering decent rates but have terrible customer service. I don’t bank there but I was working on a car sale where the owner of the car had their car loan here. They act as if they are better than everyone else and kept saying that’s their policy. Their policies are so far outdated. All in all, this credit union ruined the deal and I walked away. First I had a certified cashiers check from Wells Fargo and they claimed that there is no such thing as a certified cashiers check. The lady that told me that was then asked in return from me if she knew what a cashiers check is? She said yes and then snobbishly laughed at me like I didn’t. Next the lobby was full of people waiting to see a banker, yet two bankers were sitting in their offices with doors closed, talking on their cell phones.. when we finally went into a bankers office 2 hours later, they said they couldn’t release the lien for 7-10 days to see if my cashiers check clears. I had just recently bought another vehicle for my wife with a completely different experience. My cashiers check was verified with my bank that day and the bank electronically released the lien in less than 10 minutes, not 7-10 days. I was not going to purchase a vehicle that did not have a clear title. They tried to encourage me to go get cash and bring it to their bank. That was it, I walked out.

MACU has truly gone downhill in the last few years. I recommended my partner to apply for a loan there since I got multiple loans through them, and this has been a complete nightmare of an experience for her.
The loan process has been absolutely awful for her and no one at the loan service center seems to care one bit. She has been approved yet had to jump through multiple hoops and has had to constantly follow up /herself/ to get the process constantly moving. It has now been 24 hours since she was supposed to receive the loan agreement paperwork to sign, and nothing has been sent to her.
Time has been crucial as the vehicle she has been trying to apply for might be gone soon, which has been stressed multiple times to the agents, to no avail.
The total time since she applied for a loan has been over one week now (due to the incompetence of the employees handling her loan), which is absolutely awful turnaround time.

I do NOT recommend to apply for loans here anymore. This is so unfortunate, as I really thought MACU was one of the best. Other credit unions could finish up and have all documents processed within 24 hours for a loan.
