This credit union has been around forever, and they should have much better customer service than they do. There has been a simple problem between me, receiving my rewards points and the bank providing them to the credit card company But the bank wants me to handle my own problems by providing medium information and I work it out with the Credit card company. Since when did I get hired the credit card company queer we shared that it’s the banks responsibility and they won’t even take the information for me while the bank refuses to contact the credit card company and rectify the situation.. this bank sucks. If you try to reach a supervisor the person you talk to is probably the supervisor and no one will provide who’s above them they do not know how to do business and modern times I give them one star and thumbs down.!

Very unfortunate that I have to leave this review but my debit card was compromised 1/25/24 and I asked for the card to be expedited and if they could waive the fee which they did thankful but unfortunately fedex had issues delivering and are sending back my debit card. After confirming that info with fedex 1/31/24 I called MFCU and I spoke to a representative and explained the situation and asked politely again if they would kindly waive the fee one more time due to fedex not delivering the card. The rep asked their manager “Chervi” about waiving the fee and denied it.. so this $5billion dollar bank couldn’t waive one more small fee to help me have access to my own funds? I work for a bank and I know it’s VERY possible for a manager to override a fee especially due to the circumstances.. so now I have to wait another week to get a new debit card. Very sad that they would rather make the situation worse than to help a loyal customer of 7years..

I financed my first home with MFCU back in June of 2022, I chose MFCU as my mortgage lender because I was a previous employee and I felt safe with them and the service they provided. Since the beginning this loan has been a nightmare. When I started the process back in June, I had to deal with no response from my loan officer, missing the due dates of the contingencies on MFCU’s end, and overall lack of communication. Today I received a cashiers check in the mail with NO letter or explanation to what it was for. Since it was for a significant amount I decided to call MFCU. They stated that check was for me to pay the supplemental tax as they don't pay for it, which is ok (but collect those funds and place in my escrow account). My tax bill was due on FEB 2023, it is now May which means it’s late. I told the lady I was unaware that I had to pay for the supplemental tax, I was under the impression they paid my property taxes and supplemental tax from my escrow account. Her response was, “well it’s stated on the welcome letter we sent you when you purchased your home, would you like me to email it to you?”. At this point why would I want the letter, I already accrued a late fee, you already told me the basics of it. That was a ridiculous “let me brush off my hands” response. The lack of professionalism and communication I have received from MFCU just blows my mind. Unfortunately and Fortunately the rate I received from them is 3% which is great, the downside is I got what paid for.

UPDATE 11/05/22 Saturday: The home office called me today to review the below problems. Some were solved. Some may be fixed. Some may not be fixed anytime soon. There is hope. I'll add two stars now, possibly more later as I see progress. I have looked at other local and distant credit unions and they don't look any better. It's possible that Mission Federal is the best available here.

PREVIOUS: I depend upon their web site for necessary and accurate information. I don't get it. Information is wrong. Information is misleading. The site is hostile to users. And THE COMPANY DOES NOT CARE in the least. I have written to them many times over the last many months about these problems. I have sent detailed descriptions and screenshots of the problems. All I get is customer service flunkies who say they have passed the information on to the 'appropriate department'. After a few of these brush-offs I asked to speak to management and was ignored. It is really difficult to untangle yourself from a financial institution after a while - I recommend that you never start with this one.

I was looking for current rates to see if I wanted to get a loan through Mission Federal and I decided not to. Imagine my surprise when they ran my credit two weeks later for NO REASON WHATSOEVER. Now they lowered my credit score. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CREDIT UNION.

With a pandemic and economic crisis going on Mission Federal Credit Union continues to charge overdraft fees without any consideration. This is a very profitable time for this credit union by taking away money from clients that have lost their incomes. I spoke to "Liza from
The corporate office", after I explained to her that I'm on disability and out of work, she was just like a machine saying it's my fault and people should be more responsible and have money regardless of the situation we are all going through with COVID-19 . This credit Union is heartless and they don't care if they have to screw over their on clients livelihood so they can make of profit. Way to go Mission Fed ?

Update: after a wrote this review mission federal credit union blocked my online access so now I can’t make online transfers or pay my bills. What way to retaliate against your own clients for voicing their concerns.

Receptionist Vi did not ask for professional, she tried to “help” herself, although fully unqualified. After 20 minutes asked for information, could not print “as printer did not work”. I asked for manager, even without checking agenda told that manager in the meeting and she won’t disturb, as I said I will wait she said she’s scared of me and asked to leave! ‍♀️ What a service… Bank running as a scammers… I’m sure all other bank employees way too busy for a customer since 2015…
