I have been with American Family Insurance since 1975. I have had great experience form all of the staff there. Some have changed. Michael Janzen took over for Tom Henschen. His staff has been wonderful. Susanne Ellis is the agent I work with now. She is great to explain exactly what my policy is and any changes that are coming up. I appreciate her expert knowledge. I recently received the six-month renewal email and had a question about the premium increase on my vehicle policy. I called Michael Janzen Agency, Inc and left a message for my agent Susanne Ellis. Susanne immediately called back and explained that the increase was due to in part a relatively low increase of 6% for the upcoming renewal based on normal rate adjustments and the reason for the larger jump was due to my vehicle trade. Susanne was very clear and detailed about the increase which left me at ease and with a comprehensive awareness of the increase. Next, and without me asking Susanne started looking through all my polices and found discount after discount that she could offer me. That type of assistance is over and above and much appreciated. Susanne does talk to me about my policies and discount during my yearly insurance talk, but to have her take time during a random call to look over possible new discounts and programs is transcending. Susanne is not only very good at her job but she is also personable, and that makes it comfortable for me to call and talk insurance, like I am talking to an old friend and not calling and being stress about an increase in costs. I have been with American Family for over 30 years and will continue to be a loyal customer because of the service I get from having Susanne as my agent.
