Memorably terrible experience. Our taxes were a bit complicated for 2021 but Merrill assured us they could handle it. Long story short, we've never worked with such an incompetent group of individuals. Our folder was returned to us with another person's tax document included with our paperwork(!) and Merrill erroneously emailed us another couple's ENTIRE tax return. I'm tempted to reach out to both parties to let them know how their very personal information was compromised, especially since I have all of their contact information.

To top it off, the IRS sent us a CP-24 notice shortly after our taxes were filed to let us know our return was completed incorrectly and that we were owed a $4,000+ refund. Thankful that the IRS was looking out for us because Merrill Bookkeeping was definitely not. Consider yourselves warned.

Merrill book keeping has been doing our income taxes for three years now and I couldnt be more happy. So glad I found these guys through a family referral. I used to do my own taxes with one of the many online tax prep services and I just kick myself in the butt for not finding these guys sooner. The first year they did our taxes, I completed my returns online with Turbo tax and Tax act to compare. Merrill had these online providers beat in terms of return, even after the fee (which is very reasonable). I have full confidence in all that they do and know that if the tax man shows up, Merrill will be there to help me out. If you own your own home or business, have a family, or any sort of investments, you need to come see Merrill book keeping! you will not be sorry.

Had a pretty bad experience. They put my request to do my taxes in a “call pile” although I told them to go ahead and file it. It sat for a month in that pile. Next after my taxes were down and charged I sent back the “e-sign” ( not really e-sign) form 3 times and they didn’t get it until the third time. This is really frustrating because all my family uses Merrill as their tax preparers. Now makes me question if I want to continue my business and will be telling the family to switch somewhere else as well. I’m disappointed.
