After working with Kristine on our 2023 taxes, we were charged for our state tax (should’ve been exempt). Called Kristine and asked if she could help us file a protest. It’s been several months and it has been difficult to get her on the phone to find out next steps. When we looked online recently we didn’t see a protest filed, and we’re now way past the 30 day window to resolve this. Need better communication and follow-ups. This cost us quite a bit.

I started out with Huff & Alexander before Kristine took over this business. I have been having my taxes done here for nearly 30 years. Kristine has always done exceptional work. When my brother died, she handled all of his financials. All of it was completed quickly and professionally.

Spent an hour discussing tax law with Kristine. She is very knowledgeable (answered all my questions), friendly and has very reasonable rates.

UPDATE April 2018: After 4+ emails, 5+ phone calls and 3+ voicemails, I have not received communication back from Kristine's office. Got left high & dry on promised book-keeping work that had to be done before tax filings. If I hear back from her, I may update this review, but right now, have serious problems with communication with this practice over the last month. I imagine/hope that this lack of communication is due to some catastrophic event for the business, I want to assume the best of people. While Kristine is still very knowledgeable and friendly, I can't continue to run my businesses and rely on her practice.

After MULTIPLE messages left with reception, on voicemails, and via email no one gets back to you. We've been waiting MONTHS for our taxes to be completed or at least proof that an extension was filed (as we were told it would be) however nothing has been given and no calls or emails have been returned. I recommend NOT using this firm.

Great CPA, does honest work and works hard, will continue to use her services for years to come. Since covid and having to reduce staff a little hard to get a hold of, which is the only reason for not a 5.
