I’ve been getting my taxes filed here for past two years. The agency has been swift with processing my tax information. However, one challenge that I’ve experienced is the staff does not provide timely updates as it relates to tax repayments. I ended up owing and Kim C assisted me with submitting a repayment arrangement request. After months of not hearing anything I called Kim C. If I don’t call their office, they WILL NOT call me. And when I call to request updates, I am constantly being told that “Kim will add your name to the list to call this week and check the status” but like I stated not one time have I received a follow up call. I called once a month only to be told that Kim C was unable to speak with someone and she’d try again. I heard this same exact excuse for about 5 months. I understand that it is a process and the IRS hold time can be very lengthy. As a result, I ended up calling the IRS to advocate for myself (waited on phone for 1 hour and 15 minutes) to get the answers & updates. Furthermore, I was told by IRS that they have limited records to support that Kim C or any other employee has called to follow up on my case AND that due to my current status the IRS cannot except any payments. The tax representative took the time to answer my questions, provided the proper department’s contact information AND mailed a notice to support that I am not obligated to make any payments at this time. I am frustrated with the lack of urgency, updates & accurate information.

I was previously using a tax service but with some change in circumstances wanted a CPA this year. I googled and selected Kim Clenney & Co. I wanted to post a review to say how impressed we were with the services provided.

Scheduling the appointment to arrival, I found her staff to be exceptional, professional and helpful.

When meeting with Kim, she answered our questions, took our information and we left feeling we were in good hands.

When we met back with Kim she went over each line item, explained, informed and educated us. She even provided us with blank W4s and advised us on how we should complete to get close to a break even as opposed to paying in as we have had to the past several years.

I highly recommend Kim Cleeney. Her staff and she made an appointment I dread every year into an educational, timely, informative and even pleasant experience. Hopefully she reads this and will know how thankful we are for her help.

Update: I regret I didn’t follow my gut and not hire Kim Clenney to do our taxes! She’s super rude and her ugly facial expressions are a turn away when you’re trying to communicate with her. She doesn’t LISTEN either! I tried to be positive about my experience in hopes of it all working out and charging my feeling to my fear. But i never felt good about my whole experience. I should’ve followed my instincts! Horrible! I shed tears both occasions but not happy tears ?

I was extremely nervous about this process only because our original CPA died unexpectedly and it was two weeks to tax filing. We reached out to Kim and her team and she welcomed us with open arms. I was somewhat overwhelmed and so new to business that i was on edge. Kim has a lot of wisdom and she held our hands throughout this whole transition. I was in tears when it was all over….HAPPY TEARS! I had to ask her for a hug! If you're looking for a great CPA please don't hesitate to call Kim Clenney and Co! To God be the Glory!

Horrible experience. First time I used their service was 2021 filing. Made numerous mistakes that needed multiple meetings over several months to rectify. I had to double check every number every time they sent a new version. Why do I pay $1600 and still spend countless hours auditing their job! My biggest mistake was going back to them again for 2022 filing. We requested a different person who was much better and we filed and paid in full. Later they came back with charges for individual forms that they never mentioned before will be billed separately (they prepared incomplete and invalid forms that cannot be filed with IRS anyway). Very incompetent and unethical practice. Stay away!

I used Kim Clenney for her bookkeeping services in an attempt to get them in the hands of a real professional and out of my office. Unfortunately things went very poorly. I would not receive monthly financial reports and send a request for them and be told we needed to send certain documents to finalize, when I would express that I would have no problem sending needed documents if they would simply ask me for them they seemed receptive, but the lack of communication continued month after month. I realized after a time that my books were not being properly kept and the staff was not qualified and or just improperly maintaining the financials of my business. I finally decided to call it quits and emailed Kim to formally end services. I received no reply and had to ask if my email was received, then I was billed for the next month. Once I finally got my books in the hands of a qualified professional I found out how bad the situation was. My new experienced bookkeeper was forced to completely start my books over due to the amount of work it would take to undo all the mistakes Kim Clenney’s group made. I had high hopes for Kim but I was honestly proven wrong and as much as I hate to slander another business owner I would not recommend using her for bookkeeping services. I personally would not use her for anything at all in the future. It really seems like her bookkeeping dept is a source of passive income for her and she only wants her employees to do the bare minimum (which is not adequate). It was such a disappointment and has given me a bigger problem to clean up than when I sought out her help in the first place. My CPA cannot even give me a year end tax assessment because they can obviously see that my books are completely wrong.0 stars.

I’m really disappointed with the lack of professionalism I received from the Kim Clenney’s office. The initial visit she seemed kind and willing to take me as a client. After that she made promises that she would send an email of items needed to prepare our taxes and I never received the email. I continued to call back once a week for three weeks and could tell that I was getting the run around. I’m not sure why Kim couldn’t simply say she couldn’t take me as a client. I’m not sure if her lack of professionalism towards me was because I am black or because I’m in the military or what but the treatment I received from her and her office staff was beyond anything I’ve experienced in a long time. Even when I asked for my documents back I got blown off. I sure hope other clients are treated with honesty and respect because I was not.

A CPA is typically someone that you believe to work in your best interest and have your back if there is ever an issue. Unfortunately, not the case here. I used Kim for several years and felt the service provided was adequate. After one particular years filing, i received a notice from thd IRS that there was an issue with my filing. I had never needed to contact Kim outside of our typical annual tax filing. Once this issue came to light, i called to see if she could assist. After a couple of calls and no response back, i decided to contact the IRS directly. They explained that it was an oversight on my preparers part and that i just needed to submit the additional amount owed and it was no big issue. I contacted the office once again hoping to at least have a quick discussion about the resolution and to make sure that it did not happen again. Of course, Kim was not available but would call me back at her earliest convenience. I never heard from her again. I did receive a check from her office for the oversight, however, a call back would have been much preferred. I never asked for any adjustment, only for a call to discuss. This is not my idea of service and support. If you decide to utilize this firm, hopefully you will not need any support or information as it is in short supply there. I've moved on to another CPA now who handles several of my businesses and does not hesitate to answer phone calls or e-mails from their clients. Choose your service providers wisely, you never know when you are going to really need them in a pinch.
