We have been using this tax service for the last 3 years and are extremely happy. Margol Kennison has been our preparer and she has been amazing, as we've been transitioning from working to retired, downsizing and dealing with capital gains. She is honest and compassionate and very clear as she describes how she has worked out what we owe. Thank you, Margol!!

My partner contacted Just Taxes after the 2017 Tax Year to request an extension be filed with IRS. They have been doing our taxes for several years. The front desk confirmed it would be taken care of. However, after my return was filed by Just Taxes, during which time they never mentioned they had neglected to file the extension, I received a bill from IRS of $600 “failing to file” the extension.

When phoning the office to bring this to their attention, the manager falsely claimed that i would have been assessed the $600 fee regardless of whether the extension had been filed, despite the fact that the IRS specifically describes this additional fee. I also phoned IRS again to verify that had an extention been filed, no such fee beyond the interest for the late filing would have been assessed.

So I wrote a letter with attachments via email and sent it to my tax preparer to contact me to discuss compensation for their error. She has never replied me. This is beyond unprofessional.
