Reached out for assistance as my husband and I are newly married and looking for help doing our W4 (it’s confusing as joint filers) and then also for doing our taxes next year (I’ve always just used TurboTax as a single filer). Office refused to do their free consultation (which is understandable) but then when asked how much the service cost, they said they don’t do it for new customers.

Strangest interaction I’ve ever had. Is this not the entire purpose of their job? I guess we will take our business elsewhere.

I worked with John and his team for 9yrs and switched to a new CPA after the office became more and more disorganized with different parts of my taxes being handled by different people. My gut feeling was something was off with my corporate calculations but I was assured the new calculations were correct. My new accountant and I were appalled to find I had overpaid $26,000 in taxes and had missed the deadline for a corporate tax benefit due to their disorganization. Completely unacceptable for an accounting firm.

I wish I could -1. They messed up my taxes in 2016 and still battling to get them fixed eight years later. I had to hire Legal Team and pay thousands of $$$$$ to take legal actions because they will not stay liable for this mistake and I am owning IRS almost $80,000 due to their incompetence. They argue the statute of limitations. Avoid at any cost.

After our CPA of 2 years went MIA, my husband and I went on a deep search for new representation and between no call backs, lack of follow-up and disorganization, we discovered that it wasn't going to be as straight forward as we had hoped. In fact, Cathy provided a VERY competitive quote based on our need and CONFIRMED the fee BEFORE moving forward. Once onboard, I was assigned to Tina, a Senior Tax Account who was communicative, efficient and thorough in her handling of our filing. Finally, we were promised that the process would take 2 weeks from the time of submitting all necessary forms and she actually finished a couple of days earlier which relieved my husband and I of any stress due to the previous delays. I will definitely stay with the company and explore other services with them. Bottom line, John Weldon CPA and his team, are very professional, timely in their communication, have competitive pricing and delivered as promised with no stress.
