I was happy so far with my house and car insurance although the price did go up the next year. We bought a new home and last week I called to cancel my current home insurance on a specific date and time and to discuss coverage cost for my soon to be new home. No call. Today I called in the early am and by 3:15 pm no return call. Now don't tell me they were so busy they couldn't call back. Not even a simple response. I called at 3:30 and told the girl I was cancelling my house insurance as of 10/31 at 12 noon. I told her I had called twice and didn't receive the courtesy of a return call. My previous insurance staff was always responsive so this just hits me the wrong way. I didn't bother to to inquire about insurance for my new home. I will be checking out new car insurance too. I am too busy to deal with this.

I was a customer of Allstate for 30 plus years and never missed a premium payment! This year they increased there premium so I shopped elsewhere! Found a much better deal and switched companies. I was auto pay plan, they had three weeks notice to retain any money owed them! They waited until one day after the policy ran out and charged me for that day! But never notified me of any residual payment due! I had no idea of this situation, instead of sending me a bill for 48.00 they waited a month and turned me over for collections. This is about the lowest thing I have ever seen from an insurance company and this agent! So be aware of this company and there practices! Don’t do business with this company if you know what’s good for you.

We chose to work with John Karas for our home policy. We started the relationship with him in 2020 as we built our home and discussed the importance of protecting all of our assets; this included our finished basement which we clearly stated would have many high ticket items (theatre chairs, gym equipment, etc.). Fast forward to February 2023, we had some water backup flooding so I emailed John multiple times and called the office for him, never was even acknowledged by him once when this was all going down. We worked with his team who told us that not only did we not have any of the coverage to protect our basement but that we were still showing that our home had a construction endorsement (we moved in this home in April of 2021 and have had our policy renewed since then). All that to say, we didn't get a penny for all the damaged flooring, baseboards, etc. that we just put in this brand new home less than 2 years ago OR a refund for the extra money we were paying for construction endorsement that we didn't need since we weren't in construction.

We immediately canceled our policy after we realized that we would not be covered for anything...still not a peep from John. Called 3 other insurance companies who told us that water backup coverage would be included in any home policy automatically. They would never sell one without that because that is literally THE most common thing that happens to home builders; we were basically told any reputable agent would never let you go without it. Had we partnered with anyone else we wouldn't be in the situation that we are in which makes it sting even more.

This has been such a horrible couple of months, I am 5 months pregnant and, on top of the baby, we're having to worry about coming up with tens of thousands of dollars to replace items we JUST purchased all because of John Karas' negligence. The worst part is, despite the impact that he's had on my life this year, I'm honestly not sure if my name would even ring a bell since he completely hid from the entire situation this whole time.

Do NOT partner with John Karas. There are many other options out there and he simply does not care.

My agent, Chad Garrett, set up a bundle package for me with my home and auto coverersge that saved me $1,000 a year. He picks up whenever I call and has gone out of his way to explain insurance items to me in a way I can understand. The agency is responsive and helpful in all areas I've had contact with.

Horrible, just horrible. I am paying you for a service; you work for me. Consistently raise my rates by a few dollars a month for every renewal, then tried to increase my rates by 50% after my car slid in neutral and caused minor property damage; I didn't get a citation and my new insurance company "can't believe how it was handled". It all worked out though because now I'm paying 50 dollars a premium less than my original policy, for more comprehensive coverage. My family has had insurance here for years, but clearly this new ownership is a lazy cheat

I had a horrible experience with my recent windshield and side window replacement. I was told by Safelight that I was not eligible to get an OEM windshield/side window as this was not covered and if I wanted OEM I would have to pay extra $700+ because my car was older then 2 years old. We had just replaced my husband truck windshield and got the OEM windshield and his truck was older then 2 years. I called Keith at my local Allstate and he was absolutely no help he basically told me if I wanted OEM that wasn't included and I would have to pay, so I had what they call the exact same thing put on my Jeep, the quality of my side window was so poor it was like looking in a fun house mirror, it was so bad I had to call safelight for a second replacement, the new window is still not the same quality as an OEM and is still low quality! When I pay for insurance I expect that any damage is replaced with OEM parts, this is unacceptable! I have been a loyal customer for 15+ years, have 3 car policies, 3 motorcycle policies, a home owners & boat policy, obviously I a not a valued allstate customer or this entire situation would have been resolved when I spoke to Keith. Disappointing!

Allstate and this agent is a complete rip-off!!! $700.00 in 2 months!! For a 2022 Toyota Tacoma 2wd 4cyl model!! They told me rates went up in Ohio I call B/S!! No help from them what so ever! And I was insured through them for 17 years!!! Scamming crook’s!! Highly disappointed!! Switch now!!! Customer service sucked!!

Terrible service
The agent is supposed to be an advocate for their customers. This agent ignores and hangs up on customers.
I only gave him one star because I couldn't leave zero stars.
I will be filing a complaint with The Ohio Department of Insurance.
