I found an account from my previous job, not only did they constantly only make .5% a quarter, but their fees ended up being more than the gains.. I pulled the account and that has taken over a month, I basically gave them money to screw around with and they charged me with fees to do so.

An absolute complete SCAM. 100 PERCENT. Do not expect to see your money. If you even have anything left have their poor investments. Lost 25 percent in 5 months. Then still charged me incredulous fees on top of that. Absolutely anywhere is better than here. Anywhere. THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM. READ ALL REVIEWS FIRST. I've been trying for three day's to find someone that can locate who has my money. I am no longer with the employer and want distribution for a self direct account. I called John Hancock and they told me that Paychex's was handling the account. Of course, Paychex couldn't find me in their system. So, I called John Hancock back. Someone in the Philippines, who BTW has all of my information now, told me that she can't find me in the system either. So, here I am with money in an account no one seems to be able to find.

I needed to transfer out my 401K when I left my employer - John Hancock didn't make it easy - so many hoops to jump through, including a Fax...in 2023. Needless to say that I will avoid doing business with this organization.

Horrible experience. The worst security that I've experienced in a really long time. They ask everything that you shouldn't from the privacy act. It's like let me give you the information so everyone can get into all my personal information. Once I figure things out; all accounts will be closed.

They are knowledgeable and quick to respond . My Corporate employer is signed with them and they are investors on some of their other ventures . Hancock has done an outstanding job . Very knowledgeable across the board .

Horrifying experience. I had to hire an attorney to get my money from them. Amazing! Each time you call their help line you get a different person who gives you conflicting information. You can’t speak to the same person twice. Bottom line? It cost me $1000 in legal fees to get to my money.
