I've worked with John Burge for over 10 years and have never had any issues ... until this year.
I'm not sure what's going on, but his attention to detail and to providing quality service have really slipped.
There were several key important pieces of information that resulted in my paying a lot more than I usually owe.
These important pieces of information are WHY we use a CPA, we are relying on their knowledge, direction and attention to detail.
We're not sure what we paid for, and we paid more this year for his services than we have in years prior.

When I brought this to his attention, politely, via email he immediately wrote back
"Fine, go somewhere else."
I was shocked and angry receiving this complete disregard for my issues and he's lost my business.

It's particularly surprising just based on how long we've known each other.

I really struggled whether or not to post this, but figured if I was considering working with John, I would want to know.

So I called today and explained that it was my first time searching for a CPA and I wanted to know how much he charged? He answers back to me in a rude tone and says “its too late you’ll have to go somewhere else” then he hangs up the phone. Huh I wonder what I did wrong ?
