507 We lived in 1F I feel sorry for whoever has to live here.
with 0 of the benefits of living in a non attached apartment (something the tour guide sold the apartment on experiencing).
Residents have imagined these two slabs of concrete as a courtyard”. However due to it not being a courtyard the only place to be in a sense in front of door 1F.
So covering the front of the door at anytime are half naked sunbathers, tables, chairs, art projects, people working, water bowls, toys, bonfires, small parties, neighborly conversation, phone conversations, and speaker phones playing music.
All activities clearly heard through the walls,
To live here you need to be a people person, great at sharing, great at confrontation, you need earphones, and to accept that your home will always be a “shared space”.
I haven’t had a moment peace since it got hot again so enjoy the winter it’s only quiet your ever gonna get.
I didn’t expect any of this when I toured and when I relayed that to the “group chat” there was slight sympathy but with habits being years in the making no changes, and told that “we should have known this is how it would be “ so I’m letting anyone else know so your not as blindsided as we where.

Completely unprofessional company. They do not care about the conditions and/or the safety of the properties they manage. The building I live in has an growing rat infestation. They don't provide sufficient places to keep trash, and often have missed pick ups. JBZ is completely aware of these issues and even though they have received a violation from the city in September 2022 they have done nothing. JBZ will take your money, and do nothing in return.

i hate living here. I live in the unit where its not inside an actual building. my front door is where some of the neighbors hang out is impossible to ignore. the walls are so thin. the yard and dumpster area is disgusting. it smells like dog piss. the ventilation system is terrible. its dead cold during the winter even with the heater on. i hate it. dont live here unless u want loud neighbors in ur ass, a terrible management company who doesnt take you seriously and an uninhabitable apartment (unit 1F)

We've been here for six months. The dishwasher has never worked. The dryer has never worked. These two and pest treatment were promised a month before move in. You cannot call anyone about it. You get transfered to a property manager who has a full voicemail.

It took three months to get pest treatment. The upstairs tub broke twice, the downstairs tub twice, the ceiling in the kitchen and the basement have leaked. Literally everything that breaks takes minimum 2 months to get fixed. First they will replace an appliance with a used one, if they replace one at all.

We have no idea what to do.

Communication is non-existent, and urgent maintenance problems are ignored for months at time. Asking for help with broken appliances, electrical issues, leaks, and other big problems is all ignored. They do not answer their phones, and do not solve issues beyond acknowledging the problem and then ignoring you. I am convinced the company may be bankrupt

Slumlords. They’ve been illegally holding my deposit hostage for months, even after telling me our apartment was immaculate. It seems like we’ll have to sue. They also never actually fixed anything for us in the years we lived there, and consistently raised the rent. Appalling.

This is honestly the worst management company I’ve ever dealt with. They do not do anything regarding maintenance requests. My roof has a hole in it which is resulting to my bedroom ceiling having a hole and leaks when it rains. They told me somebody would come out next day to look at it and it’s been 3 weeks since then and nobody has shown up. They add water charges to your account months after they’re due and have no explanation as to why they’re late. Candace Brogden is extremely rude to tenants and won’t help them when she’s the property manager. When you call their office, the person who answers, never knows the answers to your questions and you get placed on hold for awhile. Every since my apartment changed management companies, I have had more complaints living here then anywhere else ever.
