Was booted from homeowners insurance 1 month after a successful roof replacement claim. State Farm states because I had 1 home claim where NO ACTION was taken 5 years prior to my recent roof replacement, their underwriters decided to cancel the policy. I found out via email roughly 2 weeks prior to my cancelation date. Received a letter with no detailed information the same week of cancellation… since then my auto policies also increased. Will be switching to Allstate this evening for a similar rate and filing an official, documented complaint with BBB. This might be standard practice for State Farm but that does not make it right…
