Read all the 5 star reviews and know a few people who have had their taxes done here and thought it would be nice to have taxes done by a tax "pro" as I usually file my own taxes. Had an appointment on March 17, brought a file folder with paperwork organized by business, home, rental, etc... Met with Claire, she didn't ask me too much, mentioned ammending prior years taxes for additional deductions. Didn't hear from anyone for a week or so, so stopped by and dropped off a few items that I thought might help lower taxes. Claire said she would have them done by the next week. A week goes by and no call so I stop by the week before taxes are due, she tells me by the end of week, cutting it close but ok. Stop by Friday, she says Saturday...no call on Saturday. Stop at noon Monday, day before taxes due, she says give her 4 hours. Stop by 4 hours later, she says half hour, as she's taking someones taxes. Half hour later, she says she'll
call before she leaves for the day. Nothing. I call in the morning and pick up my folder... Now I'm doing my own taxes after expecting a tax pro to do them for the last month. I guess if Jim does your taxes great or if you just have simple taxes, you're golden. I don't know what will happen when Jim leaves. More than anything, I am disappointed and feel duped by someone who advertises as being a professional. I hope she doesn't do this to other people because the feeling of being lied to or pushed to the side sucks. If you can't, don't want to, don't have time just say it and let the customer make othe arrangements.
