Don't bank here! Extremely inconvenient "convenience" systems. Waiting for 5 days for my check to get deposited is beyond ridiculous and now I can't pay my bills, thanks HFCU! I can't wait for it to be deposited so I can keep on living but also so I can pull out all of MY money that I EARNED and take it to another bank or put it under a mattress somewhere, anything is better than this.

My card was inexplicably locked out sometime during the weekend. I needed to use it to get gas and groceries on Sunday. There was NO help or anyway to get help until Monday morning at 9 a.m. I was put into an embarrassing situation and having to ask a coworker for gas money. I had no idea why my card was locked and didn't find out it was locked until I needed it. What a way to find out. I'm now looking for a credit union with weekend and evening help available in case this situation arises again. I have no idea why my card was locked and cannot resolve this until Monday after 9 a.m. way too late for me to be happy about this lack of after hours services. My last credit union has 24/7 services. Want to go back to them, but they are out of this state. That's the only reason I had to switch.

Had financial problems from a spinal cord injury that led to loss of my great paying job and a subsequent bankruptcy filing 14 years ago, which included the visa card from HFCU. I was given an exception a few years ago to reopen accounts by the CEO and went in this year expecting to reopen an account once more. The charge off was still on my file and the current CEO refused to honor the exception unless I repaid the charge off. Banks and credit unions get credited with losses on their tax filings. No reason to demand repayment to reopen an account. I was a 28 year customer when I had the spinal cord injury and job loss. No empathy at all and I do NOT recommend this fake caring credit union. If I could give it ZERO STARS, I would! Stay away!
