GEICO sent me a bill, 3 months into my 6 month policy. The paperwork they sent said it was due to the driving record. However, when we spoke to them on the phone, the agent claimed we made a policy change. Either way, it's a shady practice. I'm currently shopping for new car insurance.

I had a claim from an accident in Sept. I bought this Prius in Oct 2023. I added full insurance. The next day I made a policy change to a 2nd car I have. Without my knowledge GEICO cancelled full insurance on the Prius. They claimed I made the policy change. The call they recorded with their policy change mistake they deleted it. I never made the call and there's no record of my I never made the request anywhere. They're now denying my claim and refusing to fix my car. GEICO is a cheat and lieing company. They're covering their mistakes and refusing to admit they made a mistake. I'm pissed and now seeking legal advice. GEICO sucks

I would definitely not recommend Geico to anyone seeking recommendations for auto insurance. After spending an exorbitant amount of time on the phone with customer service, and being reassured by two different agents that my claim was fully covered, and the auto body shop having my husband’s car for nearly a week waiting to begin the work, Geico at the very last second informed me that my claim wouldn’t be covered. We’ve wasted so much time with the car sitting at the shop and so much time going back and forth with them on the phone, and they’ve been nothing short of a nightmare. I’m not sure what kind of business can get away with telling a customer TWICE that something is covered and then just randomly backing out at the last second but it’s certainly not one that I’ll continue giving my money to. Now I have the pleasure of spending the day searching for new auto insurance because this isn’t a matter of policy, it’s a matter of failing to deliver on a promise that was made by TWO different employees and a “manager” stepping in and reneging at the last second. This company is unreliable and dishonest, AT BEST.

Geico website stated; Driver's License unverifiable, Unable to Process Payment... so, I obtained insurance elsewhere within minutes. Then, five (5) days later, Geico charged my bank card. I emailed Geico, yet still after a month, Geico refuses to reply to any of my emails nor phone calls. I do not have an account with Geico, yet they took my money, anyway. And when I filed a dispute with my bank, Geico took the time to appeal the dispute and took my money, again... I have reported the fraud to the BBB; Better Business Bureau. I have not registered on the Geico website and do not have an account with that company, yet they are taking my money, regardless.
