Do not choose this company! They will never return your deposit no matter what. We left out apartment in perfect condition and they still kept our deposit! And they want you to pay for utilities for 3 days after your lease is over for you to pay for their expenses!! Choose another rental company!!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. This will be long. This company is terrible. I stayed in student apartments and had the most terrifying worst experience in my life. I kept my apartment as clean as possible and they returned to me only $90 instead of my $500 deposit. I had to break my lease because my apartment was roach infested and I also had a bird mite infestation. I also had gnats and some unknown type of flying bugs. I would come home from work and it would be dead roaches everywhere!!! It was TERRIFYING. I woke up with bird mites all over my bed and all over my room. The kicker is the week before I moved out , I looked up while brushing my teeth and saw the BIGGEST roach in the light fixture. When I received the paper for what they took out of my deposit, it said “changing light fixtures” . What does that have to do with me? I am traumatized from this company. I have never experienced anything so bad in my life. As soon as I moved out, they moved someone in. Those apartments are not livable. They need to tear them down. I would not recommend.

I would not recommend leasing a property this company manages. They will never return your damage deposit. They will charge you for a full carpet cleaning or repaint and tell you that even if your property did not need it your lease stated they could charge you for it. Read your lease it is very much slanted in their favor. They will nickel and dime every little thing until they have depleted your damage deposit. If you want to rent a property from them just consider your damage deposit as part of the rent because that is how they see it.

Leased a 1 bedroom apartment for our son's senior year at Brooke's village. He took exceptional care of it and kept the apartment clean. We checked in randomly and often to just be sure since it was his first time living on his own. We paid a $750 deposit upon signing of lease. We moved him home after graduation in May. Continued to pay lease and power through remaining of lease as agreed in contract. Monthly payments were always paid before due date. I was expecting a deduction for carpet cleaning due to we only vacuumed and they have a company contracted for that. Charge of $75. Also, for touch up paint from his decor. No specification on price, but I felt $125-$150 was more than fair given it was small nail holes from decor that we filled upon moving out and where the tv was mounted. No big deal. Like I said felt my approximation was more than fair. To say we were insulted at our security deposit refund is an understatement given the condition of other apartments we toured when looking for a place to lease. Everything from water damage, mildew, god awful stained carpets, nasty broken furniture, garbage, and even a dirty pairs of girls underwear. So, it's not like the standards were very high behind. Honestly, I have seen crack houses kept cleaner. We don't agree with treating someone's property that way nor living in that manor. They charged the expected $75 carpet cleaning. An additional $250 out of a possible $500 for painting which I think is ridiculous, but fine whatever. It was the written in "Damage/Repair" costs that really struck me as unreasonable: missing light bulb from bathroom, damaged blind in living room, and broken switch cover. All for an additional deduction of another $157.24. I know for a fact and have proof the single blade on the blind was broken when we moved in. The single light bulb in the bathroom was the only one provided & again have proof. As for the "broken switch cover" I have zero idea what they're referring too. So, I guess we're just going to have to take their word for it. Anyway, we ended up getting back $267.76 from a $750.00 deposit. Guarantee you the neighbors smoking weed Every freaking day, leaving their animals locked up from early morning to midnight without taking them to potty, and throwing parties that risk damaging vehicles in the parking is no reason to want out of lease. Nor is collapsing upper floor walkway. That would later be held up by lumber and turn the apartment into a construction zone 8 weeks after moving in. Nope nothing to worry about or be bothered by. So, rent at your own risk ⚠️

Had an overall decent rental experience. However upon move out, I spent $125 for the REQUIRED carpet cleaning and was still charged $250 for "lite cleaning" . This charge was completely bogus. I have been all over the country for 10 years and it is literally the first time I did not receive my deposit back in full. I

I'm about to move out of a property rented by First Realty, so I thought it would be a good time to post that I have had a wholly positive experience with them throughout my year of renting a one-bedroom unit. They have always been reachable and communicative, especially with regard to maintenance (there were a few issues in my older unit and they were always addressed promptly and respectfully--even when I dropped the ball myself due to being busy, they followed up!) The apartment was very clean on move in, and they even let me move things in a day or two early when the movers showed up early, which was so above and beyond (and a huge relief as I hadn't yet arrived in Auburn myself). I rent a very inexpensive but lovely mid-century unit, and I never felt that because I'm on the lower end of the rental spectrum I got any less attention or care. The only thing I don't like (but might be standard for a college town or on account of the owner's preferences) is that I was asked to renew my lease a full 6 months before your current one ended, which was way too early for me--had I been able to wait, I wouldn't have had to sublet. But, in this process as well, they were very understanding, communicative, and would liaise with the building owner quickly so that I understood how to go ahead with a sublease and what was possible. So far, so good! They made living in Auburn a nice thing.

It’s a great place to live in! One best rental agency for me. I have been with them for 5 years at a stretch. The move out was also smooth.

Heads up: they will steal your deposit no matter how clean you leave your apartment when moving out!!!
This has happened to many of international students, including me.
