Joke of an insurance agent. Somehow my home, auto & umbrella policies with Farmers were assigned to this agent. The only time I ever needed to communicate with them was to add a new vehicle to my Auto policy. I sent multiple emails to Josiah Hartley at his correct email address and never got a reply. I called a left a voicemail saying time was of the essence, they never called me back. I had to spend several hours chatting with Farmers to eventually add this vehicle to my insurance and it pissed me off to the point that I started shopping other insurers, turns out I could actually save money using Progressive so I made the change. Then I went to cancel my policies through Farmers and their website said I need to call them. I called Farmers and was told I can only cancel my policies through 'my agent' - I said my 'agent' does not answer their phone or return emails or voicemails. Still, Farmers said this is what I needed to do, so through much persistence I finally got someone from this 'agent' on the phone to cancel. I emailed them formal cancellation documents with my signature but no, that wasn't good enough for them, I needed to sign the agent's paperwork to cancel. Then after doing that they told me that my Docusign signature was not acceptable and I had to redo it. Long story short they have time to hassle you, but not to do their primary job which is assist their clients to insure their assets. This agent adds no value, there are better agents out there!

UPDATE 02/28/25: now this guy is acting as if I left a review for the wrong insurance agent! Josiah Hartley was most definitely my insurance agent for Farmers. I forgot to mention in my review that when I finally got someone on the phone from this office and I told them that I had emailed Josiah multiple times with no reply, they said 'he gets a lot of emails' implying he is too busy to tend to emails. Amazingly he replies to negative Google reviews very promptly! Don't make excuses, just do better for your clients going forward.

Attempted to call and email so that I could have a couple very basic questions addressed, but got zero responses to my inquiries. Had to call the general Farmers' 1-800 number to have my policy questions answered. This prompted me to change agents. Coincidentally, I received a call from Josiah's office once efforts were initiated to change agents.
