I worked with Evergreen for over a decade, tax season always being something quite stressful as I did not totally understand how to approach the process in the most cost efficient way. Evergreen's team never really provided me with any guidance here, and in fact reaching Adam was often nearly impossible. I left them behind as a customer this year after I received a truly outrageous bill for individual tax preparation last year that was over $1,000! I tried to reach Adam for months, and never received a call nor email back to discuss my bill. I'm so, so grateful that I made the decision to find a new tax preparer, because I have learned more in this season than I ever have in the 10+ years I worked with Evergreen regarding how to prepare for tax season and navigate deductions and savings in the most efficient way possible. I was expecting this tax season to be brutal after selling a home and other assets, starting a business and moving states multiple times, and I'm sure it would have been if I had worked with Evergreen. This year I paid less than half of what I did last season, and for both business and individual tax preparation. My tax preparer (Shawn Gill with Neutron Tax) also helped me lower the costs of capital gain tremendously, and I ended up owing a tenth of what was expected towards the sale of my home. The stark contrast in cost, attention to detail and true caring for achieving the best outcome possible has emphasized to me just how truly unprofessional, apathetic, and inefficient Adam and the team with Evergreen are. If you're searching for a tax preparer who will be communicative, helpful and genuinely caring of achieving an optimal outcome, you need to look elsewhere.

Gave incorrect and generally bad advice. Lots of unreturned phone calls and emails. Way too expensive for the quality of service. Finished and filed my taxes 6 months after the date they promised. Just look elsewhere.

Please do NOT hire this firm to do your taxes. I would prefer zero stars but that isn't an option. We are new to the area and wanted to find a local firm which we expected would provide us with better service and communication. The communication we had with Adam was great before we signed the agreement and non existent after. We were asked to submit documents multiple times which had already been submitted and of course, we were charged for that. The fees we were charged are four times anything we’ve been charged. The taxes were not filed when we thought they were and we still have not received any refunds. The payment was taken from our account without our approval as we had signed up for a payment plan. That was another big error. When we reach out with a question, we don’t hear back. After multiple requests for answers we either get an excuse or we hear nothing. We haven’t heard anything from Adam after multiple emails and cannot believe what a mistake it was to use this firm. Please do NOT hire this firm. I guarantee you will regret it. VERY Overpriced! Bad Communication! Significant Errors!

I had been using Evergreen CPA for 2 years prior to the 2023 tax return year and they were fantastic to work with. On time, constantly updating me on the status of our taxes for our business, and very professional.

I have no idea what has happened, but their professionalism has fallen to the wayside and they have ghosted me on any e-mail communication when inquiring about updates to our business tax status.

We were given the contract for them to perform services in March, when their internal cut-off date for getting taxes in on time was back in mid-February. I inquired about how this will affect our personal filing of taxes (required Schedule K forms) and I received absolutely no response or answers on that front. My business partner and myself had to file for personal extensions to ensure we would not be penalized by the IRS.

I have been asking for updates for over a month, and I have received 0 communication from our Tax Manager assigned to our business.

Overall, I will no longer be doing any sort of business with Evergreen CPA. Their professionalism is lacking, their communication to their clients is horrendous, and their ability to meet their own deadlines is laughable. I do not recommend anyone work with Evergreen CPA if you value your time and money. This has been the worst experience, and I do not wish this type of interaction to anyone.

Unprofessional, ridiculously overpriced, dismal communication. Emails, phone calls, virtual appointments were either not responded to for 2-3 weeks, if at all, or no shows. I ended up taking my business elsewhere to file a pretty straightforward return. Do not recommend.

I never write reviews, but I am doing this to save any sweet individual from connecting with this horrible business. If you get things in early, it will still take months. They are completely unresponsive and will ghost your emails for weeks+ to the point that you call them to make sure they are still actually handling your taxes. When you get your taxes, there are GLARING errors. I have never dealt with a worse business. Please do not go here.

Overpriced, slow to answer emails, constantly on vacation or out of the office, deliverables are either provided at the last minute or late, will have you overpay on estimated taxes.
