DO NOT APPLY TO ANY PROPERTIES THROUGH THIS COMPANY! I was interested in a property Equity Team had listed on Zillow. I contacted them about the property and scheduled a viewing for the following day. I applied the day of the viewing and made sure to throughly read the application and filled it out promptly. They contacted me on a Monday and told me that I had been approved but “unfortunately, another applicant submitted before you. If anything falls through you will be contacted” I kept an eye on the property and called about if the applicant payed the deposit as the property was still up 2 days after I was sent that email which means according to their application the property is still available. He did NOT pay the deposit in time based off what the nice woman on the phone told me. According to the email I received I was the next applicant to be offered this property but when my husband called apparently someone ELSE was offered it and we would be offered it after THAT applicant didn’t pay the deposit. Well, that applicant did in fact pay the deposit apparently and they have yet to take the listing down. I do believe many more people have been applying. They have one of the highest application fees I’ve seen so far on top of $30 PER PET for a pet profile. They state in their application that once they receive a deposit the listing will be taken down. It’s been up three days past when they told us someone paid the deposit. It’s still available to apply to, I believe that is wrong to do and they make more than enough money. They need to update their website to mark properties as pending. If you do apply call and make sure no applicant has been approved. Don’t waste your money. They say they’ll give you your money back but that is a blatant lie!

It’s extremely clear to me how you handle your business and the only thing I was disappointed with was your lack of honesty. I have an email I’m more than willing to share that explicitly stated we were next in line which was a lie. My one star review reflects my experience with your company as a whole. I have been in the market to move for a while and have applied to dozens of properties. You are not one of the lowest application fees speaking from first hand experience as I have seen them as low as $20. I was not disappointed with not being selected as your property was small and had a lot of cosmetic issues I would have settled for because of the price and location. The only decent thing about Equity Team is the nice woman I spoke to on the phone. Hopefully you’ll have people spend more time working on your “new software” to mark properties as pending to better help potential clients navigate availability than debating reviews that reflect truthfully to your company. I recommend leading your company with transparency than deflecting criticism with veiled insults.

Working with Equity Team is everything I’d hoped for in a property management company. They’re very communicative, efficient, and FAST at what they do.

I originally set a 2 star review because communication stopped during my onboarding process. But mistakes happen and that’s all it was, a mistake. Since then, I’ve had no complaints and recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality PM company.

As a potential client I am overly dissappointed with my experience with the leasing agent by the name of CHAR and her collegue MARY. Specifically, Char was very unprofessional and discriminatory over the phone and even tried to go back and forth with me over the phone when I called out her unprofessionalism. I called the main number to forward feedback to upper management and a “Mary” was refusing to get me to someone who could provide a resolution. However, I do want to thank Tyler who showed me the property I was interested in. To my suprise he knew exactly who I was talking about when I called him to tell him about my follow up conversation and that I would no longer like to move forward. Additionally, the “feedback form” located on the website keeps kicking me out and deleting everything I type which is very frustrating, so now I’m here writing this review. I would love to hear back from someone about my experience.
