They gave me a car loan because my mother is a teacher but I cannot believe this place calls it's self a credit union! They are terrible- they're employees don't answer phone or call back (I've even been privileged enough to hear gossip between employees because they forgot I was on hold), they're employees lied and said I got mail and I didn't so branch decided I'm out $178 (believe employees over customer, go with only making money) I have never been treated like a human being until they learned I work 2 jobs and get student loan checks (yes, I go to college too) I HIGHLY suggest Huntington! 🥰 I have only been treated with compassion (all I ask- I show respect when others do) no worries educational! I'll pay off my car and never associate with this company again

Update: they still are doing nothing no matter how many emails I send- I'm still out $178 even with that nice message from the owner-this CU is rude, unresponsive, and just ruins ones day the way they handle people and money

ECACU is an outstanding CU. My Mom and I have been members for decades. They have always been our financial institution of trust, that personal trust you seldom find in national banks. None better than ECACU. Bravo!!!

This CU has definitely went down over the last 5 years. I’m not sure who took over but the customer service reps are so rude and nasty. Extremely unprofessional and not helpful at all. A trip to this CU will ruin your day. I walk in there and or go through the drive through and wonder if they all indeed like their jobs. Something definitely change they are not customer friendly at all. What really bothers me is how they don’t listen to your needs and try to assume what’s best for you. I mean maybe they need coffee or doughnuts in the morning to cheer them up or maybe their upper management is just as nasty to them and that why they are mean beans, idk! But, things need to change I miss the older reps as well. I also miss the nice ppl from the Northside location. Along with the attitudes the services are limited and they don’t offer much as well. It’s becoming harder and harder to keep and maintain my money there. 10 years plus Member!

Wonderful FI with a fantastic, knowledgeable, helpful team. It seems only unhappy individuals like to use Google reviews but stepping into the branch and seeing the friendly, familial interactions between members and employees never fails to put a smile on my face. This is the place you want to be and go if you want a personal, caring experience in your Financial Institution. Be honest, call in to explain your situation and ask for help and financial advice, and they are ALWAYS available to help. My guess is the bad reviews come from people who ignored calls and overdraft warnings, called when they were in the water well above their heads, then got upset when the options for assistance were limited. I'll be the first to admit I have had to overdraft from time to time, and have missed a payment or two, but if you are transparent and ask for help, the helping hand is there.

This credit union has really went down. The customer service that you now receive is nasty and rude. I have been a member of this CU for over 15 years. Whenever I had an issue with my account like I.e(overdraft) they were always willing to correct and assist you with that as courtesy. Now you’re told there is nothing they can do for you. What happen to Hank and his crew? They were wonderful! They say CU or better than banks, please what a joke! My husband banks with PNC and he never has these problems. I mean at least they give 24 hour over draft protection, has zelle options, and low over draft fee if you happen to receive an over draft! Any one considering banking at this CU beware I would HIGHLY recommend taking your money elsewhere!!!

Update: I couldn't reply to the other reply to this.. and seemed like they did not read my email well. I said that I do not do on line banking for my reasons. Could you try to use a different phone service if the one you had doesn't work for you anymore? I'm sure it's not there only one.

I understand you do shared branching, because that's all I can use with my schedule. But they are LIMITED with what they can do for us. When we have to go to the office, the only one location is far!! Otherwise, I'd just do everything in person.

I've been with this Credit Union for 20 years and I do like it. It's been helpful over the years but sadly, I'm changing. It's no one's fault, just too inconvenient for me to and I found a new one with mobile service. I don't use the online banking or bill paying for anything.

Original message:
I would suggest bringing back the automated phone banking system. I don't like putting my personal information online. I went online to try it anyways and as soon as it asked for my social security number, things started popping up and asking me to purchase things from third-parties. Then I started getting notifications that my phone had activities going on.

if you've ever had your money taken out of the bank you would be reluctant to do this. The automated service was so much more convenient and everybody else that I talked to prefers it. Please bring it back. Don't take any more convenient away from us since you only have one Bank office.

I have never had a bad experience with this credit union. The employees at the Angola Road location are very nice. And their loan officers take their time to explain everything to me. And that is very appreciated.
