Horrible since the takeover of NEFCU - I’ve been using the Williston Branch for over 20 years and now it’s taking me 3 days just to open an auto loan. Very poor communication and the loan associates treat you like a number. The home town bank is missing from here. I thought this was Vermont!

The only difficulty came from the NEFCU system. I have been a long time member, but the process of setting up member accounts and access for my co-borrowers was challenging and required multiple calls. Also, the first payment we made was automatically applied to the principal instead of the payment. Again this took another call to fix. 4/5

Since combining with another credit union recently, NEFCU’s service has really tanked for me. I called their 800#, explained my issue, was told I needed to talk to tech support and then got transferred to the wrong department after being on hold over 30 minutes. So I drove to the branch. Parking lot was full so I knew it would be bad but I went in to the lobby where I waited at least 20 minutes for customer service before I was finally acknowledged. Three customers were assisted before me even though I arrived first. Now I’m waiting again so not happy at all. I understand they are in the midst of a big merger, etc. but come ON!

Also, I went to a different branch about a month ago with a question about my online banking and STILL have not gotten any response about my issue.

Also, the ATMs have all disappeared. There was one at the Co-op I shop at and it’s been missing for several months with no explanation.

Super frustrating because in the past I’ve always had excellent service here.

EDIT to add: Brendan was excellent once I got assistance —great customer service, went the extra mile and called me later when he had an answer to my question.

I was met by a pleasant and helpful staff that were eager to help when I walked in the door. The wait time for me to be tended to was minimal (2-3 min). I was eventually provided with world class customer service by a very friendly Danielle. She displayed experience through her professionalism, meticulousness and her agility in providing me with all the answers to my questions while completing the task at hand very quickly. I am pleased to be banking with NEFCU and I definitely recommend their exceptional service to everyone.

ive been a NEFCU member for 23 yrs. and ive never had a problem with their policies or people. ive just recently sold and bought a house. i had Danielle as a MLO...she was wonderful to deal with. very personable and very responsive. great overall experience!!
