I notice the other reviews that are positive are from 8+ months ago so maybe they had different staff then. This store was a MESS! You couldn't tell who even worked there as no one wore a DG shirt or name badge. You couldn't move around in the store as there were boxes and carts all in the way. There was only one girl there that was friendly who gave me the bathroom key, not sure who she was as no name tag ? The sink was on full blast when I went in there and it was disgusting! I noticed that an item rang up more than what the tag said but the other lady who came up for that was very rude and made me feel it was MY fault it was in the wrong bin along with many others. If she was the manager she's in the wrong field! I had bought a 6 pk of orange soda at the front of the store and I should've known with it being covered in dust that was a bad idea!! Not ONE soda made any noise when opened!! We will NEVER go to this store again!! There's other options and I'd rather drive to PHX than go there ever again!! Do better staff!!

Nice store, but the Milk they sell there is always bad!

I bought a container of milk and about 24 hours later when I opened it, it was bad. It tasted like the most horrible thing I've ever tasted.
I went down to buy another one. After I got home, I opened it to try it and once again it tasted like it was going bad!
This seems to be a reoccurring problem there.

I don't normally write reviews for every day shopping stores, however, this Dollar General is an exception. There is not much in Salome and no grocery stores. This store has way more than I was expecting and the staff was very friendly. Pleasantly surprised!

I’ve always liked this store and most of the staff (not all) are friendly and helpful. For a small town it has a lot of offer. It’s great for this fill in day you don’t want to drive an hour to get something you forgot to pick up!

I struggle to find items I would need for $1. What happened to the dollar store? Is there no more about to expire slightly damaged tradeshow products available? You used to be able to go in and know the prices of everything at the dollar store and now it's just like any other store and you've got to pay attention to the prices. Gone are the dollar days...

This store is in the middle of nowhere. Usually they keep the Store well stocked. But during the winter months with so many shoppers at times milk eggs and bread can run low. Love the Store and the Folks running it. The Dollar General Brand is very competitive against the Big Brand Names.
