I was excited to try using a insurance broker, rather than contacting an insurance company. I wanted to work with someone who was trying to work with me, not the insurance.

I called up Dewar and was told that Cathy (I believe is her name) would call me back after lunch. The day came and went and no call. I emailed them with what I was needing. No email. The weekend comes and goes. Monday I have no email and no call still. I finally called out again and the woman I have been waiting for picks up.

She wasn't very professional, felt like she was rushed and trying to just plug in numbers, not actually figure out what coverage we wanted for our house. We are first time home buyers and she didn't explain anything or options.

When I got the quote for our house and car it was WAY more money than we were quoted with other places. The car lone was going to be $200-$300 hundred more a year. When I asked what company they were through, it was a insurance company I hadn't heard of. When asked about some of the name brand companies, here explanations made it sound like they didn't work with any of those ones.

I wouldn't remember Dewar, but maybe it was just the agent I worked with. I emailed me explaining the prices quote will not work for us and maybe I will get better options, price, or service. I will update my review if the service gets better.
