In all our travels we’ve never experienced anything this unique! These fat trucks feel like one of a kind, and offered us quite the view from both land and water! We booked the private tour while visiting our family (all Alaska natives) and it was worth every penny! Despite living near the park their whole life our grandparents found this tour super impressive. Our guide Tim did a great job of getting to know our group and having fun with everyone. The truck was nice and temperature controlled and offered the perfect level of comfort and fun! The memories from this part of our trip are some of our favorites, thanks Denali Fat Truck Tours!!

We took this Sherpa “Denali Fat Truck Tour”. Joel Miner was our driver. We enjoyed the entire experience. Mr. Miner grew up in the area and his family is very active in the local community. They are professional and striving to teach the rising generation about good citizenship, work ethic and volunteerism. His young daughter puts together the drone footage and does a fabulous job. Sure, it is not a full length 2hour movie but cut the gal a break - she’s well worth the time she is investing in your behalf. Give her the $20 bucks and be nice! She can get views of your experience that you cannot. Awesome job to all! I would do this excursion again! Thanks for sharing your perspective and experiences in the area, Joel. Tell your wife thank you for the work she is doing behind the scenes- she answered our call promptly, professionally and booked our reservation.

This was an absolutely fantastic tour which we highly recommend taking if you are ever in the Denali area. Brittany and Joel were piloting these gentle giants on the day of our tour. Both were very knowledgeable about the history in the way of Alaskan living. Brittany, you are an extraordinary woman living your life in the way as your ancestors did. Which we found very interesting and awe inspiring to learn about. Joel, not only did we enjoy the stories and theories About Alaska, we also commend you for finding and providing a better way to do Search and Rescue for people in need. As I said to you when we were leaving " Thank you for all you do for the people and visitors of Alaska"

My family absolutely loved this tour. It is so unique from other tours out there. You get to see so much without the exertion of hiking making it perfect for all ages. We were a party of 7, including my 81 year old mom, so we were split across two trucks that went on the same tour. Our guides were Tim and Brittany and both of them are awesome. They shared their stories and gave us some real insight into life in the Denali area. Tim is funny and likes to talk which is good for this tour. Brittany shared what life in Alaska off the grid is like and we found that very interesting. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a relaxed tour that allows you to see the area surrounding Denali. I really believe you will enjoy it.

We had a great tour! Joel and Tim went out of their way to book this tour at the last minute. They also made the day enjoyable, fun, and an adventure. We were entertained with lots of local history, nature lessons, and fun stories.

I booked this tour as a mother/son time. It did not disappoint! We had a fantastic time learning about the area and the SHERP. This would be a great activity for any age. Tim was our driver/guide and he worked hard to get a cow moose on the drone when we stopped at an overlook. I think our faces hurt from the laughing and smiling. It’s a unique way to see Alaska and hear about the native culture, geology and everyday life. If you want to take a one of a kind tour by real Alaskans…Do this tour!!!!! I am a tour director and I have seen many parts of Alaska, but this beats the ordinary ATV or Jeep tours by a long shot! Now, I just need to talk them into letting me drive it….wait that’s not part of the tour, but you will wish it was! From pickup to drop off….we were treated well and it was fantastic. I might have even filed away a couple new facts for my own tours thanks to Tim. Hats off to Joel, Brittany and Tim for a great Tim for my adult son and myself…we made some great memories.

Had the greatest day of our 3 week cruise/tour. The two brothers, Joel and Tim, are gregarious and knowledgeable. The Sherp machines are incredible. As Joel said, they keep it in the FUN zone and not the FEAR zone. You will see the largest lateral moraine ever and get the story of miners Rock. The jaunt in Otto Lake was quite fun. We highly recommend this tour.

The tour was amazing and riding in the fat truck was a great experience, it even operates in water! Tim was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about the area, flora, terrain, and animals. We went during shoulder season so animals not as active but still an amazing experience!
