I'd rate you guys 5 stars x4, for all 3 of my vehicle loans with y'all, and maxing my credit limit. I started with you guys back in 2014 when my credit was a 480 at best with about 12 collections from being young and dumb. You guys worked with me. Because of that I never missed a payment, I got smart and learned how to make deals with collection agencies to remove negative marks off my credit.

Fast forward to now.... My credit is near perfect at 800. I just closed on a my third vehicle loan with you guys, Toyota complimented you guys saying they talk to banks all day and how easy it was working with you, how they like how you guys advocate for your clients(you guys have my back!) and he said CU1 was one of the best banks he worked with.

You guys helped me carry over my line of credit from American Express. I hate them. But I have a good limit and didn't want the closing to effect my score so you guys helped me meet my goal and now I can close my account with them and not be robbed of interest anymore. The dealer fiance manager even said they can't come close to the interest I got from y'all.

I had nothing but good experiences with you guys since 2014. I'm a life long member. I'm so loyal because you guys offered the tools and advice that helped me get to where I'm at now. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I understand y'all are a smaller banking company. I love that. Yes sometimes hold times are a little long however I get that same treatment as the person before me. Kindness, fairness, I don't feel rushed... It's quality.

I'm a Operations Manager for a big company now. EVERY business is experiencing short staffing and it's hard finding quality employees. Trust me I know. All is good!

One Love!

Check out my new ride!

It doesn't even deserve a star, on October 24, 2023 I made a check deposit in this bank And on October 30 2023, I see that they have put the check in Hold and then I see that they deducted the check and charged me separately $15 without notifying me and without telling me anything, when I went to the office they did not know how to explain the reason for this. They have always given me the checks in the name of my company and I sign it with my name, the answer they gave me is that I have to sign the name of the company on the check but every time I have cashed a check or deposited I sign with my name and I have been using this bank for around 20 years, it makes me very angry and I feel upset because it is not the way to treat a Client, if I had not had the application on my cell phone I would not realize why they deducted the money from my check and in addition they deducted $15 dollars without calling me or notifying me.

In the end I had to go to the other bank to get a cashing check so I could deposit it. I don't see this situation well. If they make new rules for depositing checks, they should notify me. I don't agree with this bank.
Thank you!

This place is getting worse! They don't answer the phones anymore and when you ask for a call back. They call back then hang up. Customer service is down the drain. Even when you interact with them face to face and ask them to cancel you card and they tell you they did! Then you find out that the same fraudulent company you told them about ended up charging your card again because they never canceled it.
I was at this branch last week around 5:50pm. The teller was rudest person I've ever dealt with. She threw my ID on the counter and handed my bank statement to my husband instead of giving it to me, although she never checked his identification. This could have been a random person standing next to me!

I linked accounts to an outside account my wife and I share, and sent money to that account. CU1 flagged it as fraudulent because my wife's name comes first on the outside account, and banned me from making any transfers for six months, all without even a phone call, despite being a member for a decade. Then, after I figured out what they did (on my own, since they didn't contact me), they refused to turn on my transfer ability after I explained to them that I *am* on the account I sent money to, I'm just second on the account. They wouldn't turn it back on. Just really surprising they would treat long term members with zero issues this way.

Yesterday credit union one had issues with both customers and bankers couldn't access their accounts. I understand that they worked hard to fix it. However prior to these "issues" I had nothing pending and I needed to pay rent. This morning I go to see my account and they deducted 700 dollars on "pending" transactions so thanks alot for making my son, fiance and I homeless.

Sunday, Old Seward branch is closed so, we went to Abbott -the main branch. Very Poor customer service. Karen maybe was her name who seemed rushed with what she’s doing, never asked if is there anything else she can help us with. She didn’t repeat to verify to customer what needs to be done which caused a transaction that needed to be redone. She shut off the camera. I need to push the call again coz I’m not done yet and another staff took over. I told her, “Where’s Karen? I am not done yet, aren’t you supposed to ask if there’s anything else I need?” The second staff said she can’t hear me, so I spoke louder. She said I needed to turn off my truck so she can hear me. They should have told me that in the 1st place or should you then put a sign on the drive through to turn off our vehicles if your staff cannot hear? I am already frustrated from the 1st staff and here comes another who took over who cannot hear me, I admit I yelled out what I needed to be done. Few minutes later, she asked “is there anything else I can do?”, I replied, “ let me see my statements 1st so, I know “. How can I know if they did what I asked if they didn’t tube back my transaction slips?
Sarcasm?

1st, I apologize for my short temperament.

There’s a room for improvement and to be honest, Old Seward branch knows best in their “scripting” with customer from start to finish.

Please repeat to verify to customer what needed to be done, reconfirm which account goes to what.

Do not shut off your camera or screen when customer still in the zone. Seems like McDonald drive through is way better with this.

I understand it was almost closing time, why did Karen seemed “rushed “? Are your staff gonna be in trouble for overtime?
If this is the case, overtime policy may need to be revisited as staff may be prone to poor customer service and or mistakes if they worry about the overtime.

I’d be willing to talk if needed regarding this event. As there was another transaction in the past where Old Seward referred me back to main branch about guardianship account. The staff does not know the process and wanted me to go to Abbott in person (I was just inquiring what’s the process/requirements . Well, I just had the guardianship account at Alaska USA, branch was able to do it that easy.

5 years ago Credit Union 1 was my favorite bank, today not so much. Someone ended up getting my business account's debit card and spent some bucks. I had CU1 cancel and reissue the card. They reissued the card with the exact same numbers, a rolled forward expiration date, and a new security code. The problem being is that a child's bike lock is often more secure than a debit card security code with only 1000 possible combinations. I wouldn't check the account for months but when I finally did, all the money was gone, they had took it all. Credit Union 1 said they couldn't do anything about it because it had been too long since the funds were stolen. This is a tragic goodbye to the once amazing credit union 1. I really hope you guys get your stuff together, and figure out what has gone wrong since then and now.
