Edit: added a photo of a commercial vehicle that’s been parked literally at the same spot for weeks. No permit at all

Terrible management company. Any property operated by this management should be avoided at all costs. Soundview Apartments located at College Point is an absolute mess. They try to enforce parking rules but every night there are cars parked without permits leaving residents without parking. There’s been a pot hole in one of the roads for months now. Terrible management company, avoid at all costs. I will be escalating these issues to the best of my ability until I see improvements.

Ok. There’s more permits than spots, doesn’t explain why there’s cars parking EVERY night without a permit! Why do residents with a garage/driveway get a permit?

This company manages Soundview Apartments in College Point, Queens. Not sure if "manages" should be the appropriate wording used to be honest. The parking situation at the complex, is absolutely terrible. They claim they enforce parking rules but that's far from the truth. I've noticed residents from the same apartment park 3-4 cars in the complex without any penalty. This is terrible because it takes away parking from people who do the right thing and park their car with a permit. There's commercial vehicles parked in the complex that take up space for days and weeks, again, which takes away parking from people who do the right thing. I understand the management keeps emphasizing its a first come, first serve basis when it comes to parking, but when i notice cars without permits parked throughout the night, their explanation goes out the window. This managing company has done less managing of the property and done more when it comes to following their negative reviews with suspicious 5 star reviews from illegitimate accounts. The gate is broken and still has not been fixed after more than TWO YEARS. I've been taking pictures of cars parked without permits overnight to gather evidence. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT !

We recently found ourselves in a complicated situation with our apartment, and the Citadel Property Management team was incredible in helping us resolve it. From the moment we reached out, they were extremely responsive and took immediate action to address our concerns. Their professionalism and dedication were evident throughout the entire process.

What really impressed us was how supportive and understanding they were. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled smoothly, which made a stressful situation much easier for us. We're very grateful for their help and highly recommend the Citadel team to anyone in need of reliable and caring property management.

My coop hired Citadel in 2019 due to challenges with the former management company. At the time we switched, we were unnecessarily paying penalties on our real estate tax bills and had a super who was not doing a decent job. Citadel was effective from the start. The coop's financial condition has since improved, despite ongoing capital needs, and we have a wonderful super who is invested and cares about the well-being of the building. In the past five years, we've also dealt with legal issues with the condo owner, and Mark and team hired the right lawyers who resolved the issues without any financial burden to the coop. Overall, we've been very pleased with Citadel's services and would recommend them to any other buildings looking to make a change.

I see very mixed reviews, so for starters I’ll say, before you make a decision, hear me out, I will be frank and honest in my review. I can genuinely say I had a great experience in my dealings with Citadel. I dealt primarily with Michael on their Ways Reef Apartments listing, through and throughout the process he was nothing but personable and communicative during my correspondence with him, he was always prompt in his response times and very straightforward and thorough in answering any questions I may have had during the waiting period for approval. I had the pleasure of meeting Carl in the office, who also was also a pleasure to speak to during the time I spoke with him, we shared discussions at length about much more than just leasing and apartments and by the end of the signing I was more than happy with my decision to go with their listing. My reasoning beyond simply being a staff of fully capable and intelligent individuals, they struck me as good people. I can go on forever but the takeaways are to speak to the staffs openness to communication and their prompt responses on inquiries, and willingness to work with you human to human. I’d like to thank Michael and the rest of the staff at Citadel for making my experience simple and pleasurable. At the end of all of this, was a seamless transition from leasing company to building super and tenant portal, so all in all, if you’re in the market for a NYC apartment, stop in with Citadel and see for yourself if things make sense for you.

Soundview Apartments has cars parked overnight every night with no permits leaving residences with permits with no choice but to park in no parking areas. Cars parked half on the side walk and pedestrian walkways making it unsafe to walk with strollers. Ever since I moved here I’ve barely seen parking enforced. There’s a new permit system and there’s still cars with old permits. I’m genuinely confused as to how there is any managing being done by this company.

Terrible property management company.

I live in the Soundview property in College Point. Our complex is always dirty, trash everywhere, when a storm comes through and knocks down trees it takes them days sometimes weeks to come clean it up.

The property perimeter fence has been broken for years with no attempt to fix it. The community gate has been broken for over a year now with no attempt to fix it. The pedestrian walkways are falling apart with no attempt to fix it. A sinkhole has been growing for a year right in front of our driveway on the main property road with no attempt to fix it, and parking is a nightmare for all the tenants living here.

They give out more parking permits than there are available parking spaces, then have the tenants' cars towed for overflow parking, but they're the ones that create the problem of giving out more parking permits than available parking spaces. Either create more parking spaces, or limit the number of parking permits to parking spaces at a 1:1 ratio. Easy solution, but they'd rather make the tenants pay for the problem they created and refuse to solve.

Some of these problems require money to solve, and they might not have the cash. I understand that. But some of these problems require no money to solve, and they still don't make an effort to solve them. Either they don't care, or are oblivious. Incompetence and negligence at its finest.
