I lived in a rental apartment owned by Century and I was nothing but amazed with the experience! I highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet, well maintained, and friendly community to look at Park Ridge Apartments in Lincoln NE. The community manager Andrew Tucker is absolutely fantastic! Communication is kind, timely, and professional. Andrew is very personable and cares not only about the property but also the tenants. He worked with me when it came time for lease renewal, roommate changes, and move in/out. I can’t speak highly enough of Andrew, his team, and the property!

Never tell your customers if they’re being too upset or rude. I wasn’t raising my tone I was simply cussing at an object and your staff took it personally when it wasn’t even at her. Your staff needs to not take it personally and needs to hear the situation out without getting hurt. It’s customer service and you’re going to have people screaming and cussing unlike my calm attitude I just had with you guys.

To add onto this, I’ve been reporting problems with the trash container being placed in my parking spot on multiple occasions. We never received the front door code entry to our building even. And no one listens to the assigned parking rule for their friends or family. It’s really frustrating when we first got the apartment to find that the old stove was still there and wouldn’t be picked up til a well. Then my bathtub which was supposed to be fixed, hasn’t been, I’ve been dealing with showering over being able to soak in the bath tub when my partner has been needing a functional bathtub for a while now due to medical conditions. And yet it takes forever to hear anything back from them. My sink couldn’t get fix and I quote “we have to wait until it breaks completely” the garbage disposal doesn’t work at all and will spit up WOOD CHIPS and water, I don’t have any idea where these chips are coming from but it’s baffling that even upon seeing how bad the sink was they couldn’t fix it. The floors were cleaned so poorly that they were still STICKY, until I cleaned them myself. Leaving me to wonder if the unit had been cleaned at all. I will not be renting from Century again and if I get roaches I’m suing considering I’ve been seeing them on and off and the pest control clearly isn’t doing anything.

I recently rented a property from Century. Weeks after moving in they listed the property for sale and we had people weekly coming in and out of our home for tours throughout the whole duration of my lease. On top of that, when I put in my 30- day notice we had people doing tours for potential buyers as well as potential renters. Overall many people coming in our home sometimes 4 days out of the week. I was more than understanding and patient with them throughout that time. In the winter our pipes froze and I contacted them about it and they were in no rush to get it fixed. After nearly a week I fixed it myself. I kept the property very clean and I had no pets however there was previous damage to the property from previous renters before me that had a dog. The blinds were chewed up in two of the upstairs bedrooms and scratched on the doors and light stains on the carpet. I wrote it down on the move in check list when I first moved in and now I’m being told it was not written down. I kept the property so clean that was in shock when I found out that we lost nearly 50% of a $1,500.00 deposit. I’ve been renting for years now and have never lost not even $1 on a deposit until I rented from Century. I moved out nearly a week in advance and came every single day and deep cleaned the property. I even rented a carpet cleaner. When I contacted century about this I called everyday for a week. After a week I told them I need to talk to someone that day and I was not taking no as an answer. I talked with Kaitlyn who was very little to no help at all. After talking with her to about my concerns she pretty much told me unless I have proof for what she charged me for I would not be getting a refund. She did tell me, that the property was in fact left very clean but that she still had to charge me a cleaning fee and that she actually originally didn’t charge me enough and that the cleaning fee now went from $37 to now in the $70 range. I did not read the reviews before renting from century and now there is nothing I can do to get the deposit back. I read the reviews after finding out about my security deposit and it seems many people have been through the same occurrence where you will be getting nothing to very little of a security deposit back. After talking to Kaitlyn the one time after calling for a week straight I had a couple more questions. It’s been another week of calling and I have not been able to get ahold of her again after even leaving a voicemail. Century is the worst rental company I have rented from this far. The whole point of a security deposit is if anything is beyond wear and tear it will be coming out of your security deposit yet I was charged for two set of new blinds from the previous dogs and some more things. I left that property so clean and returned it how it was given if not better. Yet, I lost nearly 50% of my security deposit.

Do not ever live in a Century property. They have been nothing but horrible people to work with and could not possibly care less about their tenants. Their properties are built terribly and you will be billed quite a bit for basic maintenance of your unit. I have had great experiences with several other management companies around town and Century is the only one I will never, ever live in again. I’m so serious, you pay too much money to live in any of their properties. There are not many things I dislike more in life than Century :]

This company stole our entire security deposit and made us pay for rent twice in our final month of our lease plus late fees even though we paid days in advance. This company is a fraudulent group that only wants to steal your money. My roommates and I have contacted the company for months and have received zero help on resolving the issue. Do NOT trust this company.

As you can probably sense a pattern of in these reviews with Century, we’ve had numerous problems since moving in around a month ago. Unfortunately we also neglected to read the reviews before renting.

To start, on our move-in day we came in to check the place out before we moved our stuff in. We came in to a bit of a mess with stuff left behind from the previous renters, a disgusting oven, dishwasher, bathroom, stains on the carpet, and just clearly a not cleaned place, not to mention we were given the wrong code to get into the building. A few minutes behind us a guy walked in and explained they had a scheduling mishap with the cleaning crew. No problem, we’ll just come back in a few hours after they clean the place up. The crew did a very poor job, they took the remaining items out but the cleaning portion was not done well at all… The dishwasher, bathroom, doors/windows, carpets, etc were still disgusting and they also broke or oven. Which is okay, accidents happen but the cleaning portion is unacceptable. We called our property manager, Colton numerous times just to get sent to voicemail and have gone into the office a few times as well just to get told we can only get our problems solved through him.

We finally got into contact two weeks later in order for the crew to come out and clean the place again just for them to do another subpar job. Here we are a month in still without our oven and a carpet that leaves our feet black walking on it all day. The place itself is nice, the management and communication has been the worst part of it all.
