I would not recommend Carmel to anyone. Not only were they highly incompetent from the beginning (forgot to put a smoke alarm in our house, left trash in the yard when I moved in, gave the house to me and my roommates in disgusting condition), but they only got worse throughout the lease. The house was constantly having issues with the plumbing among other things and it was nearly impossible to get help for our issues, sometimes our toilets would all be not working and we’d be unable to communicate with them. Even their emergency management number often was unreachable. The cherry on top of this experience was us moving out before the end of lease and Carmel taking it upon themselves to enter the house without permission and throw away all of the stuff we had still in the house. Then, they decided it was acceptable to charge us for cleaning and removal of items. When we went to confirm they did in fact throw away our stuff without permission we found them in the middle of a showing of the house, again without notifying any of us. Finally, we receive our deposit money back and they still deducted money for the removal of items. Even though they didn’t clean it before they gave it to us, they decided that we should pay them to clean it. Worst property management company I’ve had the displeasure of working with.

Saying this company has poor communication is an understatement! My husband and I dealt with this company for a short period of time and were very displeased and frustrated by the end of our encounter. They NEVER answered the phone even during buisness hours. the only way I was able to “communicate” was through text and that wasn’t very reliable. We went through the process of seeing the home, the real estate agent showed up late. We noticed that the home had a few cosmetic issues like doors off the hinges, things needed a cleaning but nothing major. We read through the application and seen the home was being rented as is. Another Red flag because why wouldn’t fix those minor things to appease the renter but again nothing to concerning. after we completed the application they called 48hours later and said we were approved. In the email that was sent to us to sign the lease, it stated the security deposit must be sent within 24 hours of signing or they would move to the next application. A day after receiving the lease they called and stated the owners wanted to know why the lease wasn’t signed yet. We literally were in the process of signing right before the phone call we sent the deposit right after signing and literally an hour later we received a text stating they didn’t know the owners were selling the property. I find that very hard to believe considering I had just spoken to someone stating the owners were asking why we hadn’t signed the lease yet. If they asked anything about the lease why wouldn’t they mention they were selling the property. Carmel claims they’ll mail our money back but the damage is already done. That was very unprofessional and a complete inconvenience! Avoid them at all cost!

Recently rented from this management company and I have no complaints. Our realtor helped us find the property and we turned in our application. We were able to move in two weeks. We had a couple repairs that was necessary at move in but all were fixed in a timely matter. They are very proactive in making sure all our work are completed. Definitely would recommend this management company!

l was recently given the displeasure of working with Carmel Property Management while looking for a rental home. The company's communication exemplifies poor customer service and their behavior was dubious at best.

We applied for a rental property through Carmel Property Management with their UI designed back in 1997 and while the approval/acceptance was smooth the next steps were quite terrible.

Carmel Property Management neglected to give us the EPA approved information pamphlet for the lead paint disclosure attached to the lease.

And to top it off we visited the property one more time to look around and shared concerns about some things that were in a bad state. Carmel Property Management proceeded to "ghost us" and just cut off all communication.

This mangerment is a disgrace my daughter appt. her ceilings are falling in since March and the haven't been took care of yet. Evertime it rain it falls in more. she has a bad mice problem and Asthma. MY DaUGHTER is going through hell living there and nothing being done. 1840 FORESTHILL BLYD APT 3 44112

Carmel Property Management is much more than a normal management company, I have been with many previous management companies that handled the property negligently and unprofessionally, I came to Carmel after a criminal lawsuit had already been filed against me for not handling the inspection violations, from the moment Carmel Properties received the management of the properties they worked around the clock to resolve the All the problems (and there were many...), they have a wide and professional knowledge of state and city laws and excellent professionals who sorted out all the legal problems and the problems that required repairs at home and within weeks all the cases were closed.
In general, it is difficult to find a professional and good management company in Cleveland and I was really surprised by the speed and professionalism in every issue that was on the agenda.
And one more thing, they are exceptionally available! Within minutes you get an answer to any question.

I would not recommend it. It takes a while to get their response to the urgent request (we had a waterfall from the top of our window). The contractors they provided were unprofessional, didn't fix problems from the first time, and needed to come back over and over again to fix their own mistakes.

I would highly recommend Carmel Property Management. Repairs are always done in a timely manner. The are professional and have amazing staff. Truly an outstanding service.
