Got caught in a scam several months ago and they closed my accounts and credit cards so fast- scammers couldn’t get any money.
Today, Samantha took a half hour to notarize and stamp bonds for redemption. Always cheerful and happy to assist. Love the people at this branch! They deserve 5 stars!

To be clear for everyone that has given Canvass Credit Union bad reviews like I'm about to do, it isn't the branches fault. This branch and it's employees have been absolutely phenomenal every single time I've went in to the branch in person. Calling these branches is another story. It's always been a horrible experience and seemingly always an interaction with someone who has no idea about what's going on. No matter how much information, they play the " I don't know game" are extremely rude and absolutely adhere to a "the customer is already wrong no matter what" policy. It's a split here. Local beaches are incredible. Corporate ppl really hurt this Banks reputation and I completely understand why. This is why the average American absolutely hates corporations. The arrogance and willingness to bully ppl is way to common place with this Banks corporate team.

My wife's credit card information was stolen and purchases amounting to over 1500 dollars were charged. A fraud alert was sent to my wife and we immediately disputed the charges. We were told that an investigation on the charges was underway. Fast forward a few days later and we get a call from this branch accusing my wife of using her credit card and there for she was at fault and we would need to pay in full what she was charge. Their customer service was horrible and treated us like we where criminals. I cannot believe the level of disrespect and the lack of information on how they determine we where at fault. All they said was you used your creditcard it's your fault. Now we are out over 1500 dollars while mater card and canvas make billions of dollars every year. Disappointed is not even close to how we feel. We feel like you canvas and mater card stole from us.

I am currently staying in Germany and my car that I purchased through this canvas credit union is in America locked in storage with the insurance turned off. This company continues to tell me they are purchasing insurance for a vehicle I’m not using. Meanwhile I spoke with multiple representatives about a storage wavier that would stop this recurring email but they continue to send me to an automated system. The I finally got in contact with a representative and she told me the storage wavier doesn’t exist you have to keep insurance regardless of the scenario. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I am paying every month, just a little behind, maybe 6 weeks...

I was living in my car 🚗 and had to get a place to live.

Now, I am in able to register the vehicle 🚜 I rely on, because this institution, will not release a title to a state office for registration...

I am downgrading my review of this place from 5 stars to 3. Mainly, this is because of the drive-up window area. First, there is very little you can do there, it seems. I'm constantly being told to go into the branch. But mainly, it is not okay to insist someone give you the last 4 digits of their social security number (VERY SENSITIVE INFORMATION) for simply making a deposit into a checking account. It doesn't matter if you have an ID or not. ANYONE should be able to deposit money into an account without giving out personal information, unless of course, they are asking for a receipt. No ID should be needed, but DEFINITELY no social security information ! THIS IS DISCRIMINATORY. There are PLENTY of people in this country who are not U.S. citizens, who do not have a SS#, who still have every right to have a bank account like everyone else. I brought this up to the tellers who, though polite, still insisted that was what was needed. I in turn insisted I did not. They finally relented after asking for a manager--who ultimately called me later to apologize and informed me she would be speaking to the tellers to let them know a SS# is NOT required. THAT SAID, I went to the drive through again the other day and they STILL have are still continuing to highlight the "last 4 of your SSN" on their deposit forms as REQUIRED information. STOP. It's not okay.
